Our 7-day Perth to Exmouth tour covers approximately 1,500 km, but it's designed as a scenic overland journey with frequent stops for sightseeing, short walks, meals, and comfort breaks. We normally don't drive for more than 2 hours at a time before stopping. Here's a guide to the driving time each day: 1 Perth – Geraldton 5.5–6 hours 2 Geraldton – Kalbarri 2–2.5 hours 3 Kalbarri – Monkey Mia 4.5–5 hours 4 Monkey Mia – Carnarvon 4–4.5 hours 5 Carnarvon – Coral Bay – Exmouth 5–5.5 hours 6 Cape Range National Park & Ningaloo Reef 2–3 hours 7 Tour ends in Exmouth with transfer to the airport 0.5 hours The longer travel days are broken up with plenty of stops at highlights such as the Pink Lake, Kalbarri National Park, Shell Beach, Hamelin Pool, Coral Bay, and Cape Range National Park, so the journey itself is a big part of the experience.

The type of vehicle we will be using depends on the number of guests that are booked as well as what vehicle type will be available for the tour. As you may be aware, we do offer different tours on the same dates. So it could either be a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 4x4 (7-seater) for a small group of 3. It could also be a Toyota HiAce GL AWD custom built 9-seater van for a slightly larger group of 4-6 passengers. Or a Toyota Coaster Bus custom built 12-seater for a larger group.
