Arrival in Bucharest
A driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your Bucharest hotel. You'll have time to settle in and get oriented to the city before evening.

Bucharest to Brasov
Your guided tour starts with Bucharest's tree-lined boulevards and belle epoque buildings. Then you'll walk through the Old City, seeing the Royal Court, Stavropoleos Church, and the Lipscani district before heading to Brasov for the night.

A local guide takes you through Bran Castle to learn its history and see the 19th-century antiques filling its rooms. Back in Brasov, you'll walk the medieval streets with their colorful baroque buildings and Gothic architecture on a second guided tour.

Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanasi, Bulgaria
A local expert leads you through Veliko Tarnovo's fortified walls and cobblestone lanes, then up to Tsarevets Fortress, the old citadel of the Second Bulgarian Empire. From there you'll head to Arbanasi village for lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the ship.

Vidin and Belogradchik, Bulgaria
You have free time in Vidin to explore on your own. If you want, you can visit Baba Vida Fortress, a medieval castle from the 10th century. Later the ship moves to Belogradchik where you see the fortress on the northern side of the Balkan Mountains and check out the town's unusual rock formations.

Relaxation Onboard
You spend a relaxing day on your ship. Get out to the Sun Deck and take in the views as you cruise along the river.

A guide leads a tour of Novi Sad, Serbia's second-largest city and cultural hub. Afterward you have free time to relax or optionally visit Petrovaradin Fortress, which sits above the Danube and has catacombs to explore.

Kalocsa and Puszta, Hungary
The ship docks in Kalocsa, Hungary's oldest Danube town. From there you head to Puszta for an insider experience watching Magyar cowboys demonstrate their equestrian skills.

Budapest, Hungary
You have the day free in Budapest. Consider a visit to the Great Market Hall, housed in a 19th-century building where you can browse Hungarian food and local goods. Another option is the Hospital in the Rock Bunker Museum, a 1930s hospital built in caverns beneath Buda Castle.
