Itinerary
- Day 1
Las Vegas to Zion and Bryce Canyon
Getting picked up from the Palms Casino puts you right into it. You'll head straight to Zion National Park where the hiking options are solid - Emerald Pools gives you water views, the Great White Throne is hard to miss, and if you're up for it, the Zion Narrows gets you into the canyon itself. From there you'll drive to Bryce Canyon where the hoodoos are the main draw. Walking along the rim lets you see these tall rock formations up close, and then you'll settle in for your first night camping in the Bryce Canyon area.

- Day 2
Bryce Canyon to Monument Valley
This morning involves driving past Lake Powell, and there's a chance to tour Antelope Canyon if that interests you. After that you reach Monument Valley, which you probably recognize from old Western films. A local Navajo guide leads the 4x4 jeep tour through the landscape, so you'll get perspective on the area from someone who knows it well. By evening you'll be camped right on the Monument Valley rim where the night sky is really clear and sunrise comes early.

- Day 3
Monument Valley to Grand Canyon and Las Vegas
You'll stop at a historic Navajo trading post before heading toward the Grand Canyon. Following the Colorado River through the Painted Desert gives the drive some nice scenery along the way. Once at the Grand Canyon, guided sightseeing takes you to the best spots. You can walk the rim, grab coffee at one of the cafes if you need it, or go for the helicopter option if you want that perspective. Back in Las Vegas by evening for a night at a 3-star hotel.

- Day 4
Las Vegas to Death Valley and Bishop
Heading northeast into California gets you to Death Valley, and this place is genuinely one of the hottest spots around (temperatures regularly hit 120°F/49°C). You'll stop at Zabriskie Point, the Artist's Palette, Badwater Basin where the salt flats stretch out flat and white, the Furnace Creek Visitor Center, Devil's Golf Course, and the Mesquite Sand Dunes. A picnic lunch happens in the park itself, then you continue north to Bishop, a historic town from the Gold Rush era. Camping happens in the Bishop area.

Bishop to Yosemite
The scenic drive to Yosemite crosses Tioga Pass and takes you through some nice high country. You'll pass Olmsted Point, Lake Tenaya, and Tuolumne Meadows on the way. Once there, the Valley Visitor Center gives you context with a short orientation tour from your guide, which helps set you up for the full exploration day that's coming. You'll camp in the Yosemite area that night.

- Day 6
Yosemite
A full day in Yosemite means group hikes led by your guide plus time to roam on your own. Bridalveil Falls and Lower Yosemite Falls are on the list, and you'll get clear views of Half Dome and El Capitan from various spots. Keep an eye out for deer, marmots, bobcats, and black bears moving through the valley. Your final night is another camp in Yosemite.

Yosemite to San Francisco
Leaving Yosemite means a 3.5 hour drive west across California to reach San Francisco. An included sightseeing tour shows you the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, and the Haight Ashbury district where a lot of historic counterculture happened. The tour ends around 5pm with drop-off in the city center.
