- Day 1
Berlin
You'll arrive in Berlin and get picked up at the airport for a transfer to your hotel in the city center. You're staying here for the next three nights, so settle in and get your bearings once you check in.

Berlin
This morning you'll join a guided tour covering Berlin's history, including stops at Berlin Cathedral and the Berlin Wall. After the tour wraps up, the rest of the day is yours to explore. You can check out the local art galleries and creative neighborhoods, or just walk around and find somewhere good to eat.

- Day 3
Berlin
Today you're on your own to explore Berlin however you like. Visit the historic architecture and modern landmarks, or spend time at Museum Island if that interests you. If shopping appeals more, Kurfürstendamm has the luxury stores. The food markets in the city's market halls are worth wandering through too.

Berlin to Frankfurt to Mainz
After breakfast, you'll head to the airport and fly to Frankfurt, then transfer to your Emerald Cruises Star-Ship. Tonight you'll have dinner on board with your fellow travelers as you settle into your river cruise experience.

Rüdesheim
You'll stop in Rüdesheim, a charming Rhineland town known for its cuckoo clocks and German traditions. You can ride the Winzerexpress to Siegfried's Mechanical Music Cabinet Museum, which sits in a 15th-century knight's tower with vaulted ceilings and painted frescoes. There's also a lecture on Rhine legends included.

Koblenz
Koblenz is next, sitting at the gateway to the Rhine Gorge. Your walking tour takes you through town to the German Corner where the Moselle and Rhine meet, then you'll ride a cable car to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Rhine Valley. The ship then sails through the Rhine Gorge so you can take in the scenery from the water.

The afternoon is free to explore on your own.

Breisach to Colmar
