Why is the tour date for August 22nd more expensive compared to every other date listed? Also, is the tipping kitty mandatory? Just wondering if we are able to tip independently preferably.

This date is more expensive as late August is the busiest time in Turkey. Also there is a public holiday over this time period in the country, which drives local prices for accommodations, etc. up. The tippy kitty is mandatory and is collected on day 1 of your tour. This is so you don't need to worry about tipping drivers, luggage porters, local guides, etc. throughout the tour, it is taken care of for you. The tip for your guide is not included in this and is not mandatory, however greatly appreciated.

We had an amazing week in Türkiye with On The Go and a fantastic tour guide, Lale. She was a wealth of knowledge on Turkish history, culture, traditions, food and kept us all entertained, even on some of the long travel days. The highlights of the tour were Istanbul, Ephesus and especially Cappadocia thanks to an incredible experience riding a hot air balloon at sunrise. The hotels were mostly fine and the food options were excellent. The roughly ten hour bus journey to Cappadocia was a bit much, so I’m glad we opted to fly back to Istanbul rather than taking the bus back on the last day. Overall, an excellent trip representing good value and covering a lot of ground!Show more

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
