Itinerary
- Day 1
Kona
You'll arrive at the Royal Kona Resort on the Big Island's coast and get settled in for your 3-night stay. Check in at your own pace and spend the rest of the day relaxing by the ocean or exploring the resort grounds.



- Day 2
Polulu Valley - Kohala Coast
Your guide meets you at 8 am to start the day. You'll hike into the remote Polulu Valley and walk along its wild beach, then drive to the dry Kohala Coast to see the ancient Puukohola temple and the historic Lapakahi village. By evening, head to Lava Lava Beach Club to catch the sunset and look for sea turtles along the white sand beaches.

- Day 3
City of Refuge & Captain Cook Memorial
Spend the morning at Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, walking through temples and tombs perched on lava cliffs while learning about Hawaiian culture. Take some short walks around the village, then go snorkeling at one of the island's best reefs. In the afternoon, visit Captain Cook Memorial bay. If you're interested, optional manta ray snorkeling or guided kayak tours are available.

Kaloko - Honokohau
Start at Kaloko Honokohau National Historic Park, walking past coral beaches to see ancient fishponds and petroglyphs. After lunch, drive Saddle Road and enjoy views across the Big Island's different landscapes. You'll climb from sea level to high elevations, then hike the Puu Huluhulu trail with views of Mauna Kea and volcanic terrain. Transfer to Hilo for a 3-night stay.

Volcano National Park
Spend two days exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park at Mauna Loa's base. You'll hike through cooled craters, lava tubes covered in ferns, and walk along Kilauea's crater rim through cloud forests with great views. Depending on current lava flows, hikes may be within the park or to active areas. Optional activities include Akaka Falls, Waipio Viewpoint, ocean swimming, sunset drives to Mauna Kea's summit, or helicopter flights over lava fields.

Puna - Kona
Travel back to Kona along the southern route. Stop at Punaluu's black beach where Hawaiian green turtles often rest on the shore. Then hike to Hawaii's southernmost point and continue to Green Sand Beach along small coastal paths with windy conditions. Return to Kona for your final night on the Big Island.

- Day 9
Waimea Canyon
Start early to reach Kalalau viewpoint above Kauai's wild north coast, roughly 1,200 meters below you. Hike through Kokee State Park on the Awa'awapuhi trail to cliff-top viewpoints, enjoying the pleasant climate at 1,000-1,200 meters elevation. On rainy days, the hike shifts toward the drier canyon side. If you're lucky, you might spot the endangered Hawaiian nenegoose.

Shipwreck Beach
In the morning, book an optional helicopter flight over Kauai's steep cliffs if you want a memorable experience, or spend time relaxing on local beaches. Afterward, drive to Kaiolohia (Shipwreck Beach) and walk around this nearly 13-kilometer stretch known for shipwrecks lying offshore. There's also swimming available if the water looks good.

Lihue to Kahului
Explore Kauai's famous north coast with its unique landscape. A narrow winding road leads to the island's far end where you'll hike the Kalalau Trail high above ocean cliffs. In the afternoon, transfer to your flight to Maui. This island consists of two dormant shield volcanoes and hosts humpback whales from December to April on its west side. Settle in for a 3-night stay.

Hike on the flank of Pu'u Kukui volcano along Waihee Ridge, crossing rainforest valleys with panoramic sea views. Later, visit the Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum to learn about Hawaii's sugar industry and the islands' diverse cultural heritage. If you want to add on, an optional tour to Haleakala National Park crater at 3,000 meters elevation is available.

Drive along the winding coastal Road to Hana with its impressive cliffs. Stop at Waianapanapa State Park and hike over cliffs on the old Kings Trail. Then drive to the secluded red sand beach in Hana where huge waves crash against the shore. Your tour wraps up with sweeping views of Maui's highlands.

On your final morning, you have the option to experience sunrise at Haleakala National Park, the massive shield volcano towering over Maui. If you book this optional excursion, you'll return to your resort before noon. Your trip ends here with individual transfer to the airport or with an optional extension.
