  The tour is very well organized and the English and Spanish Guides were excellent and very knowledgeable.I have nothing bad to say about the tour.Some 30-40 yrs old passengers were complaining that the sight seeing days were too long and should have some free time. I guess the whole thing is up to u.If u want to sight seeing,you have to give them time. You cannot have the cake and eat it. Show more

  The tour in itself covers a lot of places that one wouldn't probably get to do or see if you were to do it on your own. In saying that, there will be places you wish you had more time to explore. Some days end really late and then have an early morning start to a totally different place. The sights are awesome, and the guides are fantastic polyglots. As I understand and speak Spanish, I can verify that what was said in one language was pretty much translated to the next language. Some guides translated into as many as three languages! It is important to note that guides in the bus from hotel to hotel are not necessarily tour guides (although they do this too!) but they are your transfer guides, managing the group from one area and hotel to another, and managing those that are joining or leaving the group as per their individual itineraries. Land guides picked up for the area you are visiting are pretty much the tour guide for that area and will give you a lot of history and information about the place, mostly while on a walking tour. Some will have flags so you can see them from afar, but do try to keep pace as they dish out the info while walking. Try to use this time too to munch on some fruit or snacks as meal times can be erratic (except for the 6.30am breakfast). One has to really have a certain level of fitness to keep up. There is a lot of walking and a lot of walking surfaces are uneven as they are very old (think cobblestone streets and rocky walkways on castles) so make sure you have very comfortable shoes on. Compression socks are also good to have. Toilet stops can be difficult with long lines, so be aware of this if you have bladder issues! The buses are giants and the drivers are amazingly skilled. From this experience I would have learned to (personally) possibly have a shorter tour with more time in each city to explore a bit more on my own. Last advice is to add a day before and maybe a day or two after the tour to recover!Show more
