Want to add a visit to Alexandria. Do you have an option maybe one day or two to Alexandria from Cairo before the tour starts? Can you send a quote here to add it to the trip? Might be the one start on the 15th or the 22nd. Will confirm once I get the Alexandria info

You have two options if you'd like to include Alexandria: Arrive one day earlier and join one of our groups for a day trip to Alexandria before your tour begins. Does the entrance fee for the activities such as Entrance to Pyramids/Sphinxes 700EGP include in the price?

I was wondering if there is Visa requirement for U.S citizens for Egypt and Jordan, if so can we obtain the Visa's online?

The Egyptian section of this tour is a very fast-paced, packed experience designed for athletic and physically fit travelers. There were about 20 people on our tour, and the pace clearly catered more to the younger members in their 20s and 30s. We were often given informative talks lasting 30–40 minutes, followed by only about 15 minutes to rush through enormous historical sites on our own. There were several 4:00 AM wake-up calls to “beat the crowds” and the heat, so expect very little sleep and a constant fast walking pace through places where you’ll wish you had much more time. There was barely enough time to eat, rest, or fully experience many of the sites before being hurried onward. During the Nile Cruise, I was bitten badly by bed bugs. Unfortunately, that can happen anywhere travelers cycle through frequently. The staff on the ship were lovely, and the guide helped me get medication from a pharmacy, but the boat itself clearly needs fumigation. My face swelled badly from the bites, so I don’t look like myself in many of my photos. The second part of Egypt was much more relaxed. We finally had time to sleep, and the pace became easier. We also had a different guide for this section, and he was flexible and accommodating. He even adjusted the Mount Sinai portion for those of us who couldn’t manage the 5-hour dawn hike. Instead, we traveled there later, toured the monastery, and took photos. I actually suggested this alternative, but honestly, it should simply be included as an option from the beginning. This guide was also much more flexible overall with dining and scheduling. We then crossed into Jordan by ferry on our own, which was honestly the most nerve-wracking part of the trip for me as a solo female traveler. I got separated from the group on the Egyptian side. Once in Jordan, a third guide and assistant helped us through passport control. However, the pace again became extremely intense. At Petra, I ended up hiring both a golf cart and a separate guide while the rest of the group hiked five miles across uneven terrain followed by a strenuous two-hour hike up to the Monastery. My advice: Pay for a golf cart and a seperate guide at the site. It was the most relaxing lovely way to see Petra and I have excellent photos. Wadi Rum- definitely worth it. Tent and camp or excellent. Unfortunately, the younger people all went to bed at 2AM and woke up at 5AM to watch the sunrise. Because we're in tents you can hear them talking all night and then shrieks and yelling when the sun rose as if they've never seen a sunrise before. I bring this up so that you get a sense of how little you'll sleep on this tour and why. By the end of the trip, I honestly needed a vacation from my vacation. I do recommend visiting both Egypt and Jordan as they are extraordinary countries. However, I think this particular tour tries to pack far too much into too short a timeframe. It’s really geared toward younger, highly energetic travelers and caters heavily to that pace and mindset. The tour is advertised as “low/moderate activity,” but in my opinion, that description is inaccurate. I’m writing this review so that travelers who are older, moderately active, or simply looking for a more balanced pace can make an informed decision before booking. I hope this helps. Hotels were all excellent. Hotel staff excellent. Guides knowledgeable. Sites worth seeing. But again, to give you an example, after hiking around sites for 8 hours since 6AM, the guide actually had us all climb up three flights of stairs for a late lunch - as if that was nothing... So there was a lot of that. Anyways, I was exhausted. I might give Travel Talk another chance at some point but it's not my "go to".Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of $150 is required to confirm your booking with Travel Talk. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
