Keflavik to Reykjavik
You'll arrive at Keflavik Airport and catch the airport bus heading into Reykjavik, about a 50 km journey. Once you reach the city, check into your hotel and get settled for your week-long stay.

Golden Circle and Northern Lights
An 8-hour guided tour takes you through the Golden Circle route. You'll stop at Fridheimar to see geothermal greenhouses, watch the Strokkur geyser shoot up every 5-7 minutes, and stand in front of the powerful Gullfoss waterfall. Thingvellir National Park lets you see where continental plates meet. After heading back to the city, you'll head out around 9 p.m. for a 4-hour Northern Lights hunt in the Arctic darkness.

Reykjavik
Take your time exploring Reykjavik on your own. Start around the small lake at Tjornin and pop into the town hall for city context. Walk past the Icelandic parliament building and the distinctive Hallgrims Church, whose design came from the Svartifoss waterfall. Grab lunch at the famous Baejarins beztu pylsur hot dog stand, a local institution.

Reykjavik
This is a free day to do what you want around Reykjavik, or you can book optional activities. There's lava tunnel exploration paired with Blue Lagoon or Sky Lagoon thermal baths, glacier hiking at Solheimajokull, whale watching tours, or combination packages if you want to mix activities.

South Coast
You'll spend about 10 hours traveling Iceland's south coast. Walk right behind Seljalandsfoss as it drops 66 meters into a canyon, then experience the force of Skogafoss waterfall. Reynisfjara's black sand beach has dramatic basalt cliffs and plenty of birds to spot. On the drive back, you'll stop at the Solheimarjokull glacier tongue and walk to a small glacial lake, catching views of Hekla and Eyjafjallajokull volcanoes.

Your 24-hour ticket gives you flexibility to check out the Harpa concert hall, the old harbor area, Perlan (the former water reservoir with its viewing platform), and Hallgrims Church.
