You'll land in Panama City and get transferred to your hotel. This modern capital sits right on the Pacific Ocean and is home to the famous Panama Canal. The historic colonial old town is there waiting for you to walk through whenever you're ready.

Panama City to El Valle de Antón
Pick up your rental car in the morning and drive toward El Valle de Antón, which takes just under 2 hours from the city. Along the way, you can stop at Altos de Campana National Park if you want some viewpoint stops. El Valle sits about 600 meters above sea level and has plenty to do here like the Sunday market, bird watching, butterfly gardens, museums, waterfalls, and hiking trails if you're interested.

El Valle de Antón
You have the full day to explore El Valle at your own pace. There are lots of choices available, from hiking India Dormida to catch summit views, to night hikes through the local flora and fauna, crater tours, bike tours, or bird watching. Pick whatever sounds good to you.

El Valle de Antón to Pedası́
Drive back from El Valle to the Panamericana and head west toward the Azuero Peninsula via Chitrá. Stop at the historic church at Natá de los Caballeros, which dates back to 1520 and is one of the oldest colonial buildings on the continent. You'll pass through villages like Parita and La Villa de los Santos before reaching Pedasi. There are optional visits to Isla Iguana and various beaches if you have time for water activities.

Pedası́ to Las Lajas / Boca Chica
Drive back to the Panamericana and head west on scenic quiet roads. Via San Felix you'll reach your finca or boutique hotel. The area has swimming, diving, fishing, hiking, boat tours, horse riding, and visits to indigenous villages if any of those interest you.

Las Lajas / Boca Chica

Las Lajas / Boca Chica to Boquete
After breakfast, drive to Boquete, a charming highland town that sits about 1,300 meters above sea level. It's known for coffee, flowers like orchids and roses, and strawberries. The countryside around it is lush and green, making it great for nature lovers. Optional activities include canopying, suspension bridge tours, bird watching, and coffee plantation visits.

Boquete
