- Day 1
Hanoi
You'll arrive in Hanoi and head to your hotel for a mid-afternoon check-in. Take some time to settle in and get your bearings in Vietnam's capital.

- Day 2
Hanoi
A guided tour takes you through Hanoi's main sights, starting with the Temple of Literature and the One Pillar Pagoda. You'll see Ho Chi Minh's stilt house and walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, then wander through the Old Quarter's narrow alleyways lined with traditional shop houses. Lunch is at Koto, a nonprofit restaurant that supports local employment. If you're interested, there's an optional water puppet show in the evening.

Hanoi - Ha Long Bay
You'll drive out to Ha Long Bay and board an afternoon cruise. The boat passes dramatic limestone islands while you have lunch on board. After that, you'll explore Sung Sot Cave and visit Titov Island before heading back.

Ha Long Bay - Hoi An
The drive back to Hanoi takes a few hours, then you'll catch a flight to Danang on the central coast. From there, it's a short transfer to Hoi An, a town full of well-preserved buildings that show influences from Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, French, and British merchants who traded there over the centuries.

Hoi An
Start with a walking tour of Hoi An's ancient town, visiting an old merchant house, the local museum, a Chinese assembly hall, and the Japanese Covered Bridge. Grab lunch with Cao Lao noodles, the city's signature dish with its distinctive chewy texture and smoky flavor. Later you'll take a cruise on the Thu Bon River through the countryside and meet with a local farmer to learn about river life. The rest of your day is free.

You'll fly to Siem Reap, which will be your base for exploring the ancient temples of Angkor, considered among the most remarkable architectural ruins anywhere.

Siem Reap - Angkor
Your first temple day starts at Angkor Wat, the best preserved temple in the complex and dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. It's famous for its five towers and intricate bas-reliefs. From there, you'll move on to Angkor Thom and the Bayon Temple with its distinctive carved faces on 54 towers. The rest of your day is free to relax and process what you've seen.

Siem Reap - Angkor
In the morning you'll visit Banteay Srei, a smaller temple made from red sandstone that carved easily like wood, and dedicated to Shiva. Then you'll explore Ta Prohm, where jungle vines and tree roots have grown over and through the structures, giving it the same sense of discovery that early explorers felt. Your afternoon and evening are free, with an optional circus performance available if you want to check out the Phare Cambodian circus.

You'll fly to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city in Laos and your next stop on the tour.

This morning you'll climb Mount Phousi for views over the city and the Mekong River. You'll then visit Wat Xieng Thong, considered the most beautiful monastery in the city. After that, travel through the countryside to Kuang Si Waterfalls and see the turquoise pools where the water cascades down. Back at the hotel, your evening is yours to do as you please.

You'll fly to Chiang Mai, a mountain town in northern Thailand known as the 'Rose of the North.'

Start by visiting Wat Phra Singh, then head to Wat Doi Suthep, a temple in the mountains. To reach the top, you can take a tram or walk up the Naga dragon staircase with over 300 steps. Your afternoon is open to explore the city on your own. An optional Kantoke dinner is available, featuring northern Thai dishes and performances by local hill tribe dancers.

Chiang Mai - Elephant Nature Park
You'll head out to Elephant Nature Park, a sanctuary that's been rescuing and caring for elephants since the 1990s. Hear the individual stories of the elephants and see how they've become a healthy herd free from abuse. The park also works on tree planting and provides shelter for other rescue animals. It's a chance to see these animals in natural surroundings.

You'll fly to Bangkok, Thailand's capital city, for the final portion of your tour.

This day covers Bangkok's major landmarks, starting with the Temple of the Golden Buddha and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the city's largest Buddhist temple. You'll visit the Grand Palace, Thailand's most important site, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll take a long tail boat on the Chao Phraya River and explore the canals (klongs) that give Bangkok its 'Venice of the East' nickname. Stop at the Temple of Dawn on your way back. Tonight your tour director hosts a farewell dinner to celebrate your journey through Southeast Asia.
