Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Casablanca to Fez
Your hotel pickup in Marrakech gets you started early for the drive to Casablanca. The Hassan II Mosque is the main stop here, and it's one of the world's largest, so you'll spend time taking it in. After that, you'll drive through Azrou's cedar forests where the landscape shifts pretty dramatically. Ifrane comes next, and the architecture there has this interesting European feel to it even though you're in Morocco. By evening you'll roll into Fez for dinner and settle in for the night.

- Day 2
Fez
This day is all about Fez, which is Morocco's oldest imperial city and also its religious center. You're walking through the medieval medina, checking out the Bou Anania and Attarine Medersas, and seeing the entrance to the Qarawiyyin Mosque, a 9th-century university that's still functioning. The Nejjarine fountain is worth your time, and then you'll wander through some of the best souks the country has to offer. There's a lot to take in here, so pace yourself. Dinner happens back at your riad.

- Day 3
Fez to Chefchaouen
After breakfast, you're heading into the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, the Berber city known for its whitewashed buildings. Your guide will be with you through the day, and you'll walk those narrow streets at your own pace. The colored paintwork on the buildings here is what people talk about, and seeing it in person is different from photos. Spend the afternoon just moving through the alleyways and getting a feel for the place before you settle in for the night.

- Day 4
Chefchaouen to Rabat to Marrakech
Breakfast happens first, then you're traveling to Rabat, which is Morocco's capital. You'll see the Kasbah des Oudaya, Hassan Tower, and the Mohammed V Mausoleum, all historic landmarks that give you a sense of the city's importance. Once you've explored these sites, you'll head back to Marrakech. This drive gives you time to think back on everything you've seen, from the forests to the cities to the mountains and all the different people and places in between.
