Athens: Our hotel in Athens was good, close to Omonia Square, would have liked to be closer to Monastiraki Square...
Athens: Our hotel in Athens was good, close to Omonia Square, would have liked to be closer to Monastiraki Square instead. But location was good once you got used to your surroundings. Would be best to have a travel agent meet you at the hotel at some point to give you tour ideas on places to visit, restaurants, closest train, bus stops etc. Especially for first timers. Mykonos: Enjoyed our hotel, very close to walk into town. The staff there were great and gave us some great suggestions for dining, walks through the town and bus timetables to catch the bus around Mykonos and to the beaches. Santorini: We stayed in Kamari, our hotel room was lovely, close to all the shops, beaches etc however the reception staff weren't very receptive I felt. Check-in, there was just too much going on with several tour groups arriving at the same time, we waited for quite a while before we were able to check in. Check out we weren't told what time we were getting picked up and the reception staff insisted they hadn't heard from our tour company at all and that it was up to us to contact them ourselves. We actually just waited at reception and hoped someone would pick us up!Show more
