Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll be collected at Cairo Airport and taken to your hotel. After that, the day is open for you to rest and get settled, or if your flight lands early, there's an optional walking tour through Cairo's backstreets starting at 10am.

- Day 2
Cairo - Giza - Aswan
Begin your trip to Egypt with the morning at Giza, where you'll walk around the Pyramids and see the Sphinx up close. After that, a guide takes you through the Grand Egyptian Museum to check out King Tutankhamun's treasures and other ancient objects from Egypt's past. You'll also stop by a government-supervised Papyrus Museum to look at traditional papyrus work. By evening, you board an overnight train heading south to Aswan, so you can rest on the journey and arrive refreshed the next morning.

- Day 3
Aswan
You'll pull into Aswan early morning and check into your hotel. Later, a boat takes you to Agilika Island for a guided tour of Philae Temple, which was dedicated to the goddess Isis. On the return trip, you'll stop at a perfume oil shop. From there, the day becomes yours to swim by the pool, walk through Aswan's colorful souks, or sit watching the Nile at sunset.

- Day 4
Aswan
An early morning optional trip to the Temple of Abu Simbel is available, where you can see the rock-cut temple Pharaoh Ramses II had carved with four colossal statues at the entrance. The rest of your day is free to relax at the hotel, use the facilities, or get around town on your own. You might walk the Corniche, check out the souk, or grab a seat at a floating restaurant for Nubian music.

Aswan to Luxor
You'll leave Aswan this morning and drive to Kom Ombo temple, which is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-headed god. After a guided tour there, you'll continue to Luxor, an ancient city that's home to the Valley of the Kings and Temple of Karnak. This 4000-year-old place gives you a real sense of ancient Egypt. By evening, you have time to get out and explore on your own.

- Day 6
Luxor
The morning is yours to swim by the pool or wander Luxor independently, a city often called the world's greatest open-air museum. During the afternoon, there's a guided tour of Temple of Karnak, a large religious complex built for the Theban gods. When evening comes around, an optional tour visits the lit-up Temple of Luxor and the Avenue of Sphinxes.

- Day 7
Luxor to Cairo
Head to Luxor's West Bank this morning for a guided tour of the Valley of the Kings, where beautifully decorated pharaohs' tombs sit and three are open to enter. You'll see the tall Colossi of Memnon and then tour Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After returning to the hotel, you'll have a free afternoon before boarding an overnight train back to Cairo this evening.

Cairo
You arrive back in Cairo this morning as your trip ends. Head to your starting hotel and then arrange your own way to the airport for your next flight. If you want, there's an optional stop at Khan el Khalili bazaar to pick up last-minute souvenirs before heading out.
