Lunch on the sunny mountainside with golden eagles and griffon vultures soaring overhead What did you think of your group leader? Very professional.... bit too health and safety conscious though! Do you have any advice for potential travellers? Take a good raincoat! Our group escaped but a less lucky group on the same trip [different activities/different days] were less lucky and experienced august hail! Is there anything else you would like to add?   This holiday ticked all the boxes for the whole family. It was challenging and fun yet organised and stress free! What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? Mountain biking downhill, at speed, but with newly gained confidence provided by some excellent instructors.Canyoning was a new experience for all of us which we thorougly enjoyed.  What did you think of your group leader? Excellent. Well organised, fun and their priority was that we enjoyed our experience with them and learned to appreciate the country we were visiting. Do you have any advice for potential travellers? You need to have a relatively good level of fitness to enjoy the holiday and be prepared for a challenge. Is there anything else you would like to add? Loved this holiday. Probably our best ever family holiday together.Show more

  Fantastic Summer experience in a Ski Resort with The Adventure Company.  All guides were excellent, staff were great - only thing that stops this being excellent, is that the Hotel Owner goes on holiday at Peak Summer times and lets visitors 'get on with it' alone - needs a little more co-ordination. What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? Downhill Mountain Biking in the North Valley of Andorra and Canyoning in Spain - stunning and challenging! What did you think of your group leader? Who was our group leader?  The hotel owner, Nick, was on holiday for the whole of August, and the person who did the initial welcome also went on holiday after the first day....we did feel a little left to our own devices; thank god you have reliable staff like Stuart, Angie and Sam.  Hotel was locked every night - we had no idea about who to contact in emergency, or how to get out in event of a fire. It was complacent to rely on the self-sufficiency of Exodus/Adventure Company travellers to 'sort everything out' Do you have any advice for potential travellers? Check out the difference between booking with Exodus and The Adventure Company (Sister Company) as there were two hotels used for our trip and it was apparent that there was more being offered at The Maistre (eg. choice of evening meal; staff contactable at night etc) in the centre of town, although clients seemed to have paid the same....That said, fantastic location for a Summer Activity holiday; all guides at resort are excellent and speak Spanish, and activities great (although Bikes could be better quality).  Beautiful area - recommend.    Is there anything else you would like to add? This is our third booking with Exodus and we booked due to the great local guides and support in each case; I feel that Exodus and The Adventure Company have been a little let down here, with the Owner (boss?) being on holiday in peak time, leaving the holiday lacking a bit of coordination. There had been a file left at the Roc, but with scant information for clients eg. where the activity is; how to pay; can they pay with cards; - all left to guides, which felt a bit much.  More worrying, not one of the five families in the Roc knew how to get out in the event of a fire as hotel locked at night, with no staff on site; or who to contact in event of an emergency. Why were the half the group in a 3* hotel and the others in a 2*?  Why did half the group get a choice of menu each night, and the group in the Roc get one menu only? Without focussing on the negative, amazing country, great people, mountains and wildlife (expecially the Marmots) - highly recommended. Show more
