If there are occasions where we have to find our own way and back to any of the places described in the itinerary, pls let me know which places of interest they are and the cities. Are International Travel cards and Credit cards accepted widely in Budapest and Bucharest? I am not keen on taking/changing cash owing to pick pockets. Are the hotels mentioned centrally located? As a solo female traveller, I am a bit wary about going out alone after dark!

The first part of the tour the hotels were not exactly 4 stars, the second part, they were better hotels. Both tour guides were good but specially Bogdan Pistritu was excellent and you have a real asset on him. He didn’t need the assistance of other tour guides like in the first part and gave us earphones to listen to him at all times even if we were a bit behind trying to take and capture a better photo after every one moved out of the site. He truly made us feel like we were a big family, truly recommend him!!! Also his recommendations for restaurants and the flexibility of leisure time was great, taking in consideration everyone’s preferences.Show more

This tour had three separate segments that were lead by three separate tour guides. Segment 1 Romania and Bulgaria: This was a great tour we visited Transylvania as well as The capital of Bucharest. Then we spent two days in Bulgaria. The tour was great and our tour guide, Crina was wonderful. The second segment was the Balkans. We left Bulgaria and visited all the former republics of Yugoslavia minus Slovenia Plus Albania. It was truly amazing. Our tour guide, Simon was very good. The third leg was central Europe. It was only OK and the tour guide could have been better.Show more
