Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou
You'll arrive at Marrakech Menara International Airport where your driver and guide meet you. From there, you'll drive across the Atlas Mountains heading toward Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed desert citadel. Once you get there, you'll walk through the striking fortifications with your guide to see how pre-Saharan earthen construction techniques work. After exploring, you'll check into your hotel and settle in for dinner and rest.

- Day 2
Ait Benhaddou to Sahara Desert
Early morning means an ATV tour around Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, and you'll also visit the movie studios to find out why Ouarzazate earned the nickname 'Hollywood of Morocco.' After that, you'll drive deeper into the Sahara desert and leave the pavement behind for a camel caravan trek to camp. Later on, you'll listen to traditional music under the stars before heading into your tent for the night.

- Day 3
Sahara Desert to Marrakech
The day starts early so you can see the sunrise over the sand dunes. After breakfast at camp, you'll have time to explore the surrounding desert, maybe try sandboarding or just take in the quiet landscape. Then it's time to head back to Marrakech, crossing desert plains and snow-capped Atlas Mountains. You'll stop for lunch in a Berber village, arriving in Marrakech by late afternoon. Check into your luxury riad in the medina and enjoy a gourmet Moroccan dinner.

- Day 4
Marrakech
Starting after breakfast at your riad, you'll begin with the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, then move on to Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs to see traditional Moroccan architecture and tile mosaics. Next comes the Mellah, the former Jewish Quarter, where you'll learn about Morocco's Jewish heritage. Lunch happens on a terrace with views of spice markets, tagine, and mint tea. In the afternoon, you'll walk through the souks along winding medina alleys. The evening ends at Djema El Fna Square where street performers, fortune-tellers, musicians, and food vendors gather.

Marrakech
This day has a later start and relaxed breakfast. You'll wander through the Majorelle Gardens looking for hidden alcoves and vibrant plants, then visit the adjacent Berber Museum. The Yves Saint-Laurent Museum is next door, showing a permanent collection about the fashion icon's connection to Marrakech. Stop by 33 Majorelle for trendy Moroccan designs, then grab lunch at Le Grand Cafe de la Poste. In the afternoon, take a cooking class where you'll learn to prepare traditional tagine, Moroccan bread, fresh salad, and mint tea. Dinner features what you've made, including sweet almond paste cookies.

Marrakech to Essaouira
Start early with an optional hot air balloon ride above palm oases and Berber villages around Marrakech. You'll stop at an Argan oil cooperative to learn about the labor-intensive extraction process. After that, head to Val D'Argan vineyard for lunch and a wine tasting of regional wines. You'll arrive in Essaouira in the late afternoon, giving you time to relax in the evening on the coast.

Walking through the brilliant blue and white architecture and lovely beaches, you'll learn about Essaouira's Carthaginian, Roman, and Portuguese history. You'll tour the 18th-century sea walls, wood workshops, artist enclaves, and quiet alleyways of the old town. After walking along the harbor to watch fishermen, you'll have fresh seafood lunch at a streetside cafe. The afternoon gives you choices: shop for wood carvings and pottery in the medina and market, or try kitesurfing or other water sports if you're feeling adventurous.
