  This tour was absolutely fantastic. Good itinerary & sightseeing inclusions, great value accommodation, comfortable transport, and our guide Kim was very friendly, organised and knowledgeable. Throughout the booking, Jeferson was incredibly helpful and responsive through the whole process. I will certainly be recommending Responsible Travel South America to friends and family. Just one feedback for improvement ... accommodation in Quito (Yellow House) was a bit sub-standard (room housekeeping wasn't done at all during our first stay of 4 nights) ... I would avoid Yellow House in the future! Accommodation as well as breakfast in Banos was very good.Show more

  We visited Ecuador in April 2025 on a family vacation with another family, and were so thrilled that we planned our trip with and through Responsible Travel Ecuador! With a group of four adults and five kids ages 7-15, it was important for us to have a fun adventure with a good mix of learning history, cultural immersion, and memorable fun. The team from Responsible Travel Ecuador delivered and exceeded our expectations! Our tour guide David was knowledgeable and flexible, and the office team (Ana, Diego, and Alejandra) worked behind the scenes to make sure our time was well-scheduled and seamlessly adjusted when weather did not cooperate or a new idea sprung up. The 8-day agenda was thoughtfully created to give us a taste of Ecuador's diverse geography, magical nature, delicious cuisine, and beautiful people! Accommodations were conveniently located and offered breathtaking views, and the entire team was very communicative before the trip and during our time in Ecuador. Responsible Travel Ecuador played a huge role in us falling in love with Ecuador and we can't wait to return! Until we do, we are telling our social circles to book quickly. :)Show more

  My 8-days trip to Ecuador was unexpectedly and uniquely enjoyable, some of which was a Cotopaxi volcano hike, swimming in a lagoon under a waterfall, visiting a Vayuri Indian community, and a canoe ride. Unexpected was having a chocolate tasting session at a Swissotel in Quito and finding an art store near Quilotoa Lagoon where I bought two beautiful paintings by a local artist. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful in managing excursions and paying attention to my dietary needs while helping to order food in restaurants. What I would have changed is having cars' windows closed with air conditioning on because of the bad air quality while on the road. Overall, I am happy that I chose to go on this particular trip.Show more
