I travel alone, I do not have a group or friends that want to do this. I do not want to go anyday throughout the year, I want to go in the best time of year to have success. It also seems to me that a five day trip is very fast for acclimatization purposes. Do you do a version where we could spend an extra day based in Horombo? When is the best time of year to do this? As a single person, how can I plan this with you if I don't have a group?

    • Almighty KilimanjaroOperatorWritten January 2026

This program is a 5-day cycling tour to Mount Kilimanjaro, not a trekking ascent. As such, acclimatization requirements are different from a summit climb, since the itinerary remains at lower altitudes and does not involve rapid ascent to extreme elevation. You are absolutely welcome to join as a solo traveler. You do not need to have a group or friends joining you. We can place you in a scheduled group departure, or—if you prefer—organize the tour privately, depending on availability. Regarding the best time of year, the most suitable periods for cycling around Kilimanjaro are: January to March, June to October. These months offer the best weather conditions, clearer views, and more comfortable cycling temperatures. This tour operates on scheduled departures, and as a single participant, you can join one of these dates without any issue. We will be happy to advise you on the next available departures during the best season. If you wish, please let us know your preferred travel window, and we will suggest the most suitable dates and options for you.
