  1. Day 1

    Embarkation

    You'll board your ship and get settled into your cabin for the 7-night Flavors of Burgundy river cruise. This evening, dinner is served on board so you can meet fellow travelers and relax after checking in.

  2. Day 2

    Lyon

    Start in Lyon by heading up Fourvière Hill to see the 19th-century basilica, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, wander through the old town and St. Jean district where you'll find traboules, the city's covered walkways. You can choose between a guided bike tour through cyclist-friendly streets, a Les Halles Market tasting tour to try local foods, or a Beaujolais wine tasting. In the evening, an Illuminations cruise takes you into Lyon so you see the city lit up from the water.

    Mâcon to Tournus

    Take a guided tour of Mâcon, known as the 'South Burgundy City,' where you'll learn about local vineyards, museums, historical sites, and the poet Alphonse de Lamartine. If that doesn't appeal to you, the option to visit medieval Cluny Abbey is available instead. Later in the day, you either cruise to Tournus or take a guided bike tour from Mâcon to Tournus if you prefer being more active.

    In Tournus, a guided tour takes you to the Benedictine Abbey of Saint Philibert. Alternatively, visit the 17th-century moated Château de Cormatin with its ornate apartments and gardens, or head to the medieval village of Brancion. By evening, you'll either sail to Chalon-sur-Saône, take a wine tasting of Chalonnaise wines, or go on a guided bike tour instead.

    Chalon-sur-Saône to Seurre

    Explore Chalon-sur-Saône on a historic city tour in the Côte Chalonnaise wine region. You could also visit Château de Couches, a medieval fortress in the hills that was once used by the Dukes of Burgundy. After that, you'll sail to Seurre or take the option to visit Clos de Vougeot, the famous walled vineyard, and try regional wines.

    Dijon

    Spend the day in Dijon, famous as the 'Birthplace of Mustard' and home to the four Dukes of Burgundy from 1364 to 1477. On a guided tour, you'll walk through the medieval center with its art and cultural heritage in the museums. Another option is biking along the Saône River to see sites like the lock controlling river access to the Rhone-Rhine Canal, or visiting Château d'Arcelot with its medieval, neoclassical, and Chinese pavilion elements.

    Are e-bikes available for those? Or only standard bikes?

      Maria here from TourRadar. Amawaterways offers standard bikes. They do not have E-bikes on their tours. If you are interested to be on the included Bike tours, you will need to sign up onboard and sign a waiver and perform a basic physical test on a bike with the Tour Guide to ensure safety.
