I don’t actually know where to begin with this tour: a tour guide that was visibly annoyed by his responsibilities,...
I don’t actually know where to begin with this tour: a tour guide that was visibly annoyed by his responsibilities, rushing through activities because he didn’t enjoy them and unable to answer questions because he’d done no research; ridiculous accomodation (‘hotels’ with weirdly stained couches and showers where either the heads fell off the wall or flooded to your knees as you showered); and scanty portions of food for 6/7 days. The tour consisted mainly of sitting on a tour bus looking out of the window and then being led into tourist trap shops whenever you were let off. The tour guide was downright rude - I have severe anaphylaxis (and informed Intrepid and my guide before the beginning of the tour) and he tried to convince me to simply swipe my allergens off my meal because getting the restaurant to make me something else was too much of an inconvenience. Another thing to note is that times between meals were usually 8+ hours (breakfast was usually bread with spreads and a singular egg if you were lucky served before 8am and lunch was usually around 3pm). This tour wasn’t worth a cent of what was paid. Tips were expected at the end too.Show more

  I am wondering what the average age of people who go on the trip is. Is it generally older travellers or younger? Also can you bring a suitcase on the trip or do you need a backpack?

  For our 18-35 trips it's really a mix on the type of traveler that books on. You may have dates where it sways more for 25 and under or there may be times where its 25 and over. Most travelers prefer to take a small to medium wheeled suitcase, which is a great size for the packing capacity in our private vehicles. Whatever you take, be mindful that you will need to be able to carry your own luggage, handle it at airports, take it in/out of accommodation and perhaps even walk short distances. We recommend you pack as lightly as possible.
