    Asked on March 31st, 2024

Do we have mattresses and pillows? Do we have access to a closed bathroom in each camping? Do we have access to a cooler or mini-fridge for medicines? Are we going to be two people per tent? Are the camping safe during the night? Do you offer other similar small group tour trips that are cheaper?

    • Chameleon Safaris NamibiaOperatorWritten March 2024

You get a 5cm thick camping mattress each and a camping pillow. Sleeping bag is rented out for N$270 per bag. Yes, supported with warm water. Yes, which is available in the truck. Yes, unless you want a single tent each and you pay a single supplement in that case. All our campsites are protected or secured. Animals however are unpredictable, so you will get like antilopes that might room around the camp. We never had an issue with like lions or leopards coming closer to the camp. So it is safe. No. This is the best option.

    Sam

    Asked on December 16th, 2023

As a single traveler, can he also spend the night alone in a tent or in a room? (he is 50+) How many nights will be spent in a tent and how many in a lodge?

    Accommodation
    Single supplement
    • Chameleon Safaris NamibiaOperatorWritten December 2023

We have the option for your client to book a single supplement for this tour so that he does not want to share his tent or room. If he does not want to pay the additional fee of N$ 3500, he will be matched with another single male traveller who is also willing to share. The trip is 5 nights of camping and 3 nights of accommodation.

    • S

      Sam

      TravelerWritten December 2023

Could you please advise us the pick-up time or the starting time in WDH? He prefers single accommodation in tent and lodge. Ho do we book this?

    • Chameleon Safaris NamibiaOperatorWritten December 2023

Single supplement can be arranged and paid for directly, so it's cheaper for your client as we do not require commission on that. That will be an additional N$3000. Pickup in Windhoek is between 07h00 - 07h20.

The client wants to know what it means with the travel insurance? What does he have to fill in there? Is it mandatory?

    • Chameleon Safaris NamibiaOperatorWritten January 2024

      Travel insurance is mandatory.

    • Chameleon Safaris NamibiaOperatorWritten July 2023

How does one wash at campsites? I suggest you carry clothes to last you for 6 days, do Laundry upon arrival in Swakopmund. After your tour, you will have a chance to do laundry in Windhoek. Are sleeping bag cleaned or sanitized between trips? You have your sleeping bag throughout the trip and the sleeping bag number is allocated to you. After the tour, we deep wash the sleeping bags with the recommended cleaning chemicals. Are participants picked up at a hotel in Windhoek? Yes.
