Under Down Under Tours commented on this reviewThank you Annemie for your kind words. We appreciate it.Trip date: October 2024 - LRLutz· February 4th, 2025This was our first time on a round trip with a guide. The 10-day trip through Tasmania was perfect for us to get to know the country. As Germans, we were very impressed with the English language of the guide Keygan, as we were able to understand almost all the explanations very well. Keygan told us many stories and background information about Tasmania and its colonial history with a lot of humour. The mixed travelling group of about 27-75 years with participants from U.S., AUS, England, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Germany was well looked after by Keygan as a herding dog. I can only recommend it. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)Show more

Asked on November 8th, 2024Are there opportunities to see the Southern Lights on this tour?
Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written November 2024The best time to see the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights) in Tasmania is during the winter months from May to September, when the nights are longer and darker. However, the aurora can occur year-round, and there have been sightings in autumn and spring as well. The key factors for spotting the aurora are clear, dark skies and minimal light pollution. New moon phases and nights with little cloud cover offer the best opportunities for viewing. While we have had guests see an aurora while on tour with us, it is not something that we can guarantee.

Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written November 2024Unfortunately we don't match up solo travellers into a twin room so you would need to choose the single option. We do have another tour which is our Super 7 Tour that we have hostel options available.
