Itinerary
- Day 1
Luxor
You'll arrive in Luxor and check into your 5-star Nile cruise boat. The day is yours to settle in and relax. If you want to get out, there's an optional shopping tour through the Luxor tourist market where you can find antiques and handicrafts, stop by local herb shops, and grab Egyptian food at a restaurant before heading back to the boat.

- Day 2
Luxor
An optional early morning hot air balloon ride departs at 4:30 AM to catch the sunrise over Luxor's West Bank. After landing, you'll explore the Valley of the Kings to see ancient pharaonic tombs, then stop at the Colossi of Memnon for photos. The Hatshepsut Temple at Deir el Bahari rounds out the morning before you return to the cruise for dinner and overnight.

- Day 3
Luxor to Kom Ombo
You'll cruise along the Nile with views of local villages and Egyptian tea served on deck. A horse and carriage takes you to Edfu Temple, then it's back on the boat to pass through the Esna lock, arriving in Luxor at sunset. There's time to check out the local market and try authentic upper Egyptian sugar cane juice. After lunch, you'll head to the Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to the crocodile and falcon gods, where you can see the hieroglyphics and mummified crocodiles before returning to your ship docked there.

- Day 4
Aswan
The cruise heads to Aswan where you'll visit three major Egyptian landmarks. First is Philae Temple on Agilika Island, a Greco-Roman temple honoring the goddess Isis that was carefully relocated to protect it from the High Dam. Next comes the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest ancient obelisk known in Egypt. You'll also tour the Aswan High Dam, an engineering project spanning 3600 meters that created Lake Nasser, then return to your cruise for the night.

- Day 5
Abu Simbel
A very early pickup around 5:00 AM takes you to the Abu Simbel Temple Complex in southern Egypt. You'll see the colossal statues of Pharaoh Ramesses II, each over 20 meters tall, which were relocated in the 1960s to save them from Lake Nasser. This UNESCO World Heritage Site contains temples built during the 13th century BC, and then you return to the Nile cruise.

- Day 6
Aswan to Luxor
You'll spend the day relaxing on the Nile River cruise as it sails from Aswan back toward Luxor. Have breakfast on board while taking in the river views, then enjoy leisure time on the boat. Dinner happens before you settle into your cabin for a peaceful overnight stay.

- Day 7
Luxor
Two major temple complexes are on the agenda in Luxor. You'll start at Luxor Temple with its tall obelisk and imposing statues, where ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic architecture blend together. Then it's on to the Temple of Karnak, one of Egypt's best-preserved temple complexes, where you can stroll along the Avenue of Sphinxes lined with mythical creatures. Choose between carriage or bus transport before returning to the cruise for dinner and overnight.
