The difference would be accommodation, the budget has a simpler and rustic lodge it would be considered a 2* lodge and the Ecolodge is more of a 3* lodge.

I'm interested in the Puerto Maldonado Amazon Budget Eco lodge tour (either 3 or 4 day depending on times) but have limited flight options. Can you confirm the latest arrival time in PM to start the tour and the earliest flight time you can make (flying to Lima) on the final day? Is it possible to arrive 1150 on Day 1 and leave on a flight at 1225 on the last day?

We had a very nice time at the San Blas island of Yanis. It's a small paradise! Plenty of time to relax. Why not 5 stars? Small things, like the chaos at the waterfront when you need to be directed to the correct boat and there might be some more activities posible on the island, for example as simple as a football (as you don't bring that your self). In the tour description was a sunken gunboat, but as nobody was able answer our question in English and I can't talk Spanish, we where not able to find it. I think that language has been a barrier for us as for example the optional visit to Kuna Yala Village was never offered of mentioned to us. The description of the trip mentions a 4x4 jungle drive. To set the right expectations: the route does indeed pass through the jungle, but it follows a well-paved road, so it wasn't quite the experience we had anticipated. This feedback is to improve evenmore as the overal trip was just amazing! I loved every minute of it and if you are doubting.... don't. Just go!Show more
