Amman
You'll arrive in Amman and get transferred to your hotel. After you settle in, the rest of the day is free to relax and get over the trip or walk around and get a feel for the city if you're not too tired.

Jerash - Umm Qais - Amman
Head out to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities around. You'll see the Forum with its tall columns, the arena where you can still see chariot wheel tracks, the Temple of Artemis, and the South Theatre. From there, continue to Umm Qais, a Roman city that sits high up with panoramic views over the Sea of Galilee, then return to Amman by evening.

Madaba - Petra
Start by touring Amman's citadel and its Archaeological Museum. After that, wander through the colorful local souq for some browsing and shopping. Later, drive to Madaba to see the Greek Orthodox Church of St George, which has incredible 6th century Byzantine mosaics on the floor. From there, head onward toward Petra, stopping at Shobak Castle along the way.

Petra
Walk through Petra, the ancient archaeological site that stayed hidden from the modern world until 1812. You'll enter through the mysterious mile-long Siq and emerge at the spectacular Treasury facade. Then explore the Street of Facades, Theatre, Colonnaded Street, and Qasr al Bint. If you want, you can return on day 5 to see more of this site.

Wadi Rum - Aqaba
Transfer to Wadi Rum for a 4x4 jeep tour through the desert moonscape with its ancient riverbeds and eroded rock formations. The landscape feels otherworldly as you drive through. Later, continue to Aqaba, Jordan's main Red Sea resort town, and spend the afternoon relaxing by the water or in your hotel.

- Day 7
Bethany - Dead Sea
Drive north through Wadi Araba, stopping at Lot's Cave and the Dead Sea Panorama point for views. You'll get a city tour of Bethany, then head down to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth's surface. Once there, take a dip in the mineral-rich waters. You'll float naturally without any effort, and many people say the minerals are good for your skin.

Amman Airport
Have one last swim in the Dead Sea this morning before checking out of your hotel. Then transfer to Queen Alia Airport in Amman for your flight home.
