The reason for the price difference between the two April departure. The April 6 departure is part of our Black Friday sale. The April 13 departure is not as this departure is almost full.

Can I use a hiking stick on this tour in Japan? Is there some privacy when bathing in traditional mode? Is there any furniture to help me get up from a futon?

Yes, you can use a hiking stick. In Ryokan or guesthouses, toilets and bathrooms will be shared. Tour leader normally makes a time table for each to use a bathroom in turns, so that nobody won't share the bathroom at the same time. Some places have a chair to help you get up from a futon, but some may not. Accommodation may be different depending on the departure date.

Too many to list them all but definitely the temples and Japanese gardens in Kyoto, being in Tokyo for the cherry blossom, travelling on the bullet trains, having tea and conversation with a maiko, a wonderful clear view of Mount Fuji and the beautiful scenery off the beaten track on the island of Hirado. Our tour leader Giulia was outstanding and it was a great group to travel with. Highly recommend this tour for a wonderfully varied introduction to Japan.Show more

  Most of the tours we have in Japan are considered moderate to full on however, you still do have some free time and relax and or do your own thing. Our tours try to fit as much in as possible so that you are experiencing the must-see's but we aren't in a race and will always keep everyone together while on the tour. Another option you could look at is our Upgraded - Discover Japan tour. This is 12 days, still moderate pace however the accommodation used is a bit more premium.
