Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Town to Montagu
You'll arrive at Cape Town airport and get picked up by shuttle service. Depending on when you land, there's time for a short guided walk through Cape Town Centre before heading inland through the Winelands toward Montagu. This charming town is known for its rose gardens, local wines, and Muskadel production. You'll check into your accommodation and settle in for the night.

Montagu to Oudtshoorn
The drive from Montagu takes you to Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo, where you'll stay in unique waterhole tent accommodation with a private sundeck overlooking the water. After settling in, you'll head out on a 2-hour open-vehicle game safari through Karoo vegetation. There's a refreshment stop at a scenic lookout with 360-degree views of the Swartberg Mountains. You might spot hippos, giraffes, elands, zebras, buffalo, and springbok roaming freely across the landscape.

Oudtshoorn
You'll spend another day at your waterhole tent accommodation. Another 2-hour open-vehicle game safari takes you through the Karoo to see indigenous vegetation and more wildlife. A refreshment break happens at a scenic lookout with panoramic views of the surrounding area. Later, relax on your private sundeck and watch free-roaming animals visit the water's edge right from your accommodation.

Landmarks Swartberg Mountains - Day 4
Oudtshoorn to Hermanus to Betty's Bay to Montagu
A three-hour scenic drive along Route 62 takes you from Oudtshoorn through the Little Karoo to Hermanus on the coast. This area is considered one of the world's best spots for whale watching. You'll board a whale-spotting cruise where you can see resident Bryde's whales, migrating Southern Right whales, and possibly humpbacks depending on season, along with dolphins, seals, and African penguins. After lunch, you'll drive to Betty's Bay and visit Stony Point Nature Reserve to see wild African penguins. Then it's back to Montagu for dinner and the night.

Montagu to Cape Town
After breakfast, you'll head to Table Mountain, Cape Town's iconic landmark rising above the city between Lion's Head and Devil's Peak. A cable car takes you to the summit for panoramic views over Cape Town and the Atlantic (weather permitting). Following lunch, an afternoon tour takes you to the Cape Winelands where rolling vineyards and orchards surround towns like Paarl and Stellenbosch. You'll visit Spice Route Winery for tastings of hand-crafted Swartland wines with views of the Paarl Mountains. Later, you'll be dropped at the port at 6 p.m.
