Colmar
You'll board the ship at 6 p.m. and get settled into your cabin for the evening. The crew welcomes everyone with a cocktail to officially kick things off, so you'll meet other passengers and get oriented before dinner.

Colmar - Kunheim - Kaysersberg - Riquewihr
This morning the ship cruises along the forest and pasture-lined canal from Colmar to Kunheim, and you'll sample Alsatian gingerbread while on board. In the afternoon, the ship stops at Kaysersberg where you can see the Christmas exhibit with traditional Alsatian decorations. After that, you'll explore the medieval village of Riquewihr, which has a charming Christmas market surrounded by vineyards and half-timbered homes. By evening you're back on the ship for Christmas tales and songs.

Once you arrive, a guided excursion takes you through Little Venice's canals and colorful half-timbered homes. Then you'll stop at the Choco-Story chocolate museum for hot chocolate and browse the Christmas market. Later you'll return to the ship for a festive gala dinner.

Our cruise on MS Symphonie was excellent. The boat and our cabin in particular were comfortable and well equipped. The food was very good, tasty, beautifully prepared and presented, with well-sized portions, and a wide variety of French cuisine including many regional specialities. The included wines were varied, delicious and demonstrated an interesting range of French varieties. The range of the other drinks on offer was also very satisfactory. We did not feel it was necessary to try any of the paid drinks but it was nice to know they were available. Service was excellent in all categories: efficient and friendly. We only took two of the optional excursions (Strasbourg and Colmar) and both were well organised and very interesting. We would happily take another cruise with CroisiEurope.

Fantastic cruise. Crew were great. Food was excellent. Excursions - Guided Tour of Paris and Landing Beaches (very informative, great guides). On evening of departure, with the upheaval of the French government and threat of lock closures, we were impressed with how staff quickly organized all passengers with coaches/early breakfast for departure from ship at 8 a.m.
