Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Osaka
You'll arrive at Kansai International Airport and take the train to your hotel, which is conveniently just one station away. Check-in happens after 3 pm, so you'll have time to settle in and rest from your flight before dinner.

- Day 2
Nara
This morning you'll drive to Nara for a half-day tour. Start at Nara Park where Todaiji Temple sits, a 1200-year-old UNESCO site featuring a 15m tall Buddha statue. You can feed the free-roaming deer with deer senbei crackers (150 yen per pack) and they'll bow back. After that, you'll head to Kasuga Taisha, Nara's most celebrated shrine. Lunch is on your own before driving back to Osaka. Later you'll check into your new hotel and have the rest of the evening free.

- Day 3
Osaka
You have the day to yourself in Osaka and can explore however you'd like. If you're interested, there's an optional guided tour to Hiroshima on the Shinkansen bullet train. The tour picks you up at 8:30am and includes Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Island, the Atomics Dome at Ground Zero, and Peace Memorial Park, returning to Osaka by evening.

- Day 4
Osaka to Kyoto to Nagoya
You'll leave Osaka for Kyoto this morning and start with Fushimi Inari Shrine, known for thousands of vermilion torii gates. The half-day guided tour continues to Kinkaku-ji, a stunning gold leaf-covered Zen temple, then moves to Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Togetsu Bashi Bridge. After that, you'll head back to Kyoto station and then travel to your hotel in the Nagoya area.

Nagoya
Your morning starts at the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, where you'll learn about how the Toyota family built their global business from a small village. In the afternoon, you'll explore Naraijuku, an old town that feels like 17th century Japan, and visit Tsumagoi Village. Later you'll drive to your hotel in the Nagano or Yamanashi area and have time to relax.

- Day 6
Mount Fuji
You'll drive through countryside and mountains to Lake Yamanaka, the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes with excellent Mt. Fuji views. In Yamanakako village, you'll take a scenic boat ride around the lake and see the many swans that give it the nickname 'Swan Lake'. Weather permitting, you'll drive up to Mt. Fuji 5th Station at 2,300m elevation for commanding views of the Five Lakes and Fujiyoshida City. You'll also visit Komitake Shrine behind the shops before checking into your hotel.

You'll start the Tokyo One Day City Tour at Meiji Shrine from 9:00-10:00am. From 10:30am-1:00pm, you'll browse fashionable Omote Sando and Takeshita Dori. At 2:00-3:30pm, you'll visit a secret Japanese traditional rock garden. Tokyo Tower comes next from 4:00-5:00pm with admission included. Free time from 5:30-6:30pm lets you explore Shinjuku Kabukicho's colorful nightlife. Note that the schedule may change due to weather or traffic.
