For your multi-country tours such as this one, how are the Covid testing requirements for each country handled? Does STO arrange for tour members to have whatever required tests for each different country - either rapid antigen or PCR - before they cross the different borders?

Most of our passengers were vaccinated and since most of the countries accept vaccination certificate they could travel without any hassle. Serbia requires a negative PCR test if the country of the traveller hasn't got a reciprocity agreement with Serbia so the clients do the testing before the arrival. During the tour, there were only couple of moments when they needed PCR testing. When needed, the procedure is that we make the appointment for the PCR in advance (on the best suitable location) or simply, the guide escorts the guests and assists them in the process of testing (payment, scheduling, transferring them to the lab and back). All the costs of the PCR/Antigen testing clients bear themselves.

I am from the US and fully vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine plus the booster shot and have a paper US CDC vaccination card. I believe that the US CDC card is acceptable at border crossings for Romania and for the Balkan countries included in your company's tours. If not, please let me know and I will have the vaccination information downloaded into one of the commercial digital cards.

    • Balkan and moreOperatorWritten January 2022

Serbia and the US do not have the reciprocity agreement for mutual vaccination certificate so you will need a negative Antigen rapid test, and that is only if you arrive directly from the US. In regards to Romania, as of Jan 25th, The USA are on the red list which means that you would need to be in the quarantine for 14 days even though you are fully vaccinated or able to present the negative covid test.
