- Day 1
London
You'll check into your London hotel and then the afternoon is yours to spend however you like. Take a walk around the Serpentine in Hyde Park, check out the upscale shops in Knightsbridge, or head down to the Thames for a look at Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

- Day 2
London to York
Meeting your Travel Director at 07:30, you'll head north to Stratford-upon-Avon to see the timber-framed houses and visit Shakespeare's birthplace with all its memorabilia. From there it's on to York where you can wander the narrow lanes like the Shambles and see York Minster, a massive medieval cathedral. By evening you'll join everyone for a Welcome Dinner to meet your fellow travelers.

York to Edinburgh
You'll see part of Hadrian's Wall, the ancient Roman frontier that once stretched 80 miles across the landscape. The drive takes you past Jedburgh Abbey on the way to Edinburgh, where you'll be staying for two nights in Scotland's capital.

- Day 4
Edinburgh
With a Local Expert, you'll start at the Palace of Holyroodhouse at the end of the Royal Mile, then walk through the 18th century New Town with its neoclassical Adam buildings. Edinburgh Castle comes next, where you'll see the Honours of Scotland including Mons Meg and the Stone of Destiny. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore on your own.

Edinburgh to Glasgow
You'll drive through historic Bannockburn and Stirling, passing through the scenic Trossachs landscape and along the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond before reaching Glasgow. Your Travel Director will show you around the city, pointing out the grand public buildings like George Square and St. Mungo's Cathedral.

Glasgow to Lake District
Heading toward the English Lake District via Gretna Green, you'll learn about William Wordsworth's life and see his grave in Grasmere, a stone village surrounded by beautiful scenery that inspired many writers.

Lake District to Cardiff
Stop in Ludlow, one of England's nicest towns, where you can walk around the castle with its royal history and check out the traditional open-air market with local crafts and produce. After that you'll cross into Wales and arrive in Cardiff for an orientation tour. You'll see Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium on the River Taff.

Cardiff to Cornwall
This morning you'll visit a small Cornish fishing village, then head to Dartmoor where you have a choice: either take a walk and foraging experience in Dartmoor National Park or do a scenic cruise of Plymouth harbour to see the Barbican, Citadel, and Plymouth Hoe. You'll return through Dartmoor's hilly countryside where wild ponies roam. By evening there's a Celebration Dinner at Heskyn Mill, a farm-to-table restaurant serving organic seasonal produce with wine.
