- Day 1
Cartagena
You'll arrive in Cartagena and get your bearings in this UNESCO World Heritage city. The colonial architecture is everywhere you look, and the fortified walls tell the history of this Caribbean port. Spend time walking around to see the key neighborhoods and landmarks that make this place feel so different from anywhere else. It's a good day to just orient yourself and get a sense of how the city is laid out.

- Day 2
Cartagena
This morning you'll head to La Popa Monastery, which sits about 460 feet above the city and gives you views across Cartagena. From there, you'll make your way to San Felipe de Barajas Fortress to see the old defense systems and tunnels. Later, you'll have a couple hours to walk through the historic center on your own, where the colonial streets and small squares are really where you get a feel for the city.

Tayrona National Park
You're heading out to Tayrona National Park where jungle meets the Caribbean. The hikes here take you through thick forest, and if you're lucky you'll spot some wildlife. Cabo San Juan is where you'll find yourself on the beach, surrounded by green hills and water. The Kogi people have lived in these mountains for centuries, and there's a lot of history and culture tied to this landscape.

- Day 4
Taironaka
After a 30-minute drive along the coast, you'll reach Don Diego River. You'll visit the Tayrona Museum first to learn about the region, then stop at a traditional Kogi house. Next comes a 1.5-hour hike up to a viewpoint with good views of the area. In the afternoon, you'll tube down the river, heading toward where it opens up to the sea. It's a nice mix of hiking and water time all in one day.

Minca
You'll drive inland to Minca, a quiet mountain village up in the Sierra Nevada. Walking through the jungle here, the vegetation is thick and green. There's a chance to swim at Pozo Azul, which is a natural pool fed by waterfalls. You can also visit some of the organic coffee farms and actually taste the coffee they grow. By evening, if the weather cooperates, you'll get views down toward the Caribbean coast as the sun sets.

- Day 6
Minca
You'll spend the day at Victoria Farm learning how coffee goes from plant to cup, with a tasting included. Pozo Azul is on the agenda again if you want another swim. The Arimaka waterfall gives you another chance to cool off in the water. The Hummingbird Balcony is a quieter spot where you can watch the birds up close in their natural setting. All of this shows you why Minca is known for both its natural environment and its coffee production.

Departure
Your driver will pick you up and take you to Rafael Nunez International Airport for your flight out. It's time to say goodbye to Colombia, though you'll probably already be thinking about when you'll come back.
