Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Munich to Zell am See

    You'll meet up in Munich and get a transfer to Niedernsill where your bike gets set up. From there, you'll cycle through alpine villages and past glacier-carved gorges, heading toward Kaprun and finally reaching Zell am See. Once you arrive, there are optional activities available like alpine sledding or a swim in the lake if you want to stay active, or you can just relax before dinner.

  2. Day 2

    Zell am See

    Start by taking a cable car up to Schmittenhöhe for mountain views, and then you'll hike around the hilltops. In the afternoon, you can do a short bike ride or walk, or take a scenic boat ride on Zeller See instead. After that, head back for evening meals and rest at the hotel.

  3. Day 3

    Zell am See to Werfen

    You'll transfer to Taxenbach in the morning to go white water rafting on the Salzach River, passing villages, churches, and old mills along the way. Following lunch, you'll bike past Bischofshofen toward Werfen, a village that has a castle you can see. Your evening is free to walk around town and check things out on your own.

    • White water rafting on Salzach River, Class II & III rapids, 2.5 hours (minimum age 10)

  4. Day 4

    Werfen to Hallstatt

    Head to Hallstatt, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you'll explore historical salt mines and slide down wooded slides for some fun. After that, kayak through the calm waters of Hallstätter See while taking in views of the village. Stop for lunch at a traditional Austrian restaurant to try local food.

    Werfen to Salzburg

    You'll start with a tour of Hohenwefen castle and have the option to watch a falconry exhibition if interested. From there, bike along the Salzach River, riding past houses with flower decorations and by Gollinger Waterfall until you reach Salzburg. Your evening is free to explore the city's streets at your own pace.

    Salzburg

    Begin with a guided walking tour of Salzburg's old town in the morning. Your afternoon opens up for visiting Hohensalzburg Fortress, which sits on a rocky peak, or biking to Hellbrunn Palace to see its famous trick fountains and the Sound of Music gazebo. An optional bus tour is also available if you'd prefer that. The day wraps up with a farewell dinner.

Alternatively, you can arrange drop-off at Salzburg train station, airport, or a hotel of your choice if you want to spend additional time in the city before heading out.

    I need to know if luggage transportation is included or we have to carry our baggage.

      We'll take care of all luggage transport while you are with us. We recommend bringing a small day pack with you while you are out on the trails to carry things like your camera, extra clothing or other items you would like with you throughout the day. Our guides will take care of all luggage transport from one hotel to the next.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 90 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
