Yes, on all of our Delve Deep tours we have the option of booking single rooms.

Do you do any kind of discounts for nurses?

Unfortunately, we don't currently have any discounts for nurses or other medical professionals. We have non-stop discounts for past passengers, groups of 4+ and passengers doing multiple Topdecks back to back PLUS a bunch of other campaigns and promotions through the year.

Are the activities too rigorous for older adults? It is difficult to tell from the itinerary.

All Topdeck trips are designed for and aimed at the 18-39-year-old market. The average age on most of our trips is around 23-25 years old. Most of our trips are based on share accommodation, and our passengers expect to be sharing with fellow travellers of the same age. On the first day of the trip you will need to meet the group and trip leader at the Copthorne Hotel in Auckland at 18:00pm on the 17th of September.

The next departure date available after the 4th of February 2023 departure is our 18 February 2023 - 26 February departure. Unfortunately, we have no departure dates beginning shortly after the 9th.

Would like to join the "Delve Deep, NZ North Island Tour" - is the age restriction very strict?

The age restriction of 18-40 is very strict and we only allow passengers who are in this age demographic to join our tours.

We were interested in re-booking our trip to NZ. We wish to use our credit and book for December. If by any chance the country is unable to take travellers again due to Covid-19, would we be able to get an extension?

Yes, if something Covid-19 related where to happen in NZ we could definitely extend them out (fingers crossed this won't be the case).

What is included in tour price and how much would you recommend to bring with me? And are flights on top of tour price?

We include all of the travelling and accommodation while on the tour, we don't include flights to and from the trip unfortunately. In regards to luggage, the baggage allowance is only 1x main bag with the dimensions of 70cms (height) x 45cms (width) x 25cms (depth). This bag gets stored under the coach when it's a travel day and it can be a suitcase or a backpack - whatever is best for you. Please also ensure that the weight does not exceed 20 KGS. If your dimensions are little over that is fine, as we allow a few extra centimetres leeway here and there.

Not everyone wants to hike 19km and there were no other options for the day. Also, the skotel should not be used for accommodation. The skotel was the worst. There were two bathrooms and two showers for thirty women. Also, there was nothing to keep anyone entertained at the skotel.Show more

Taimi had all the answers to every question we had and just such an extensive knowledge of everything. She was fun too, always knew where to party cheap- and buying us all Birthday shots! Awesome experience, gave us a good taste of the north island. Definitely recommend taking the 'Rock the Boat' optional and doing the night kayaking. Our trip leader was Lauren, she works over in Australia and was filling in for a few weeks, so she didn't know absolutely everything but she knew enough and what she didn't know our bus driver Prickles knew (Actually he knew everything). We made some awesome friends and I definitely recommend this as a great way to get to see New Zealand. The Tour does pick up/drop people off at different points in time so make sure you ask those who are there how long they're staying on for. Some of our friends continued on and were doing the Grand Kiwi, and from what I've seen and heard - it's an awesome way to travel NZ. After our tour we headed down to Queenstown on our own for a week, while we were there the Top Deck tour we were on came into Queenstown so we got to see some of our friends again. By that time they had gotten a new trip leader who was a local - Lance, who knew all the bar managers at different places often getting us cheaper drinks. Its awesome to travel with a trip leader that know the route because they often tell you the locals places to go and can get you good deals. Or in our case... Lauren convinced the manager of the Skotel to somehow get some more vodka because we kind of drank it all.Show more

Where do I begin describing this trip?? This trip was absolutely amazing, from the countries that we visited right down to the Topdeck crew!! Our trip leader was a bloody legend and had a wicked sense of humour! Our cook was beyond great considering all the diet requirements that he had to cook for. And our bus driver drove through Scandinavia as if he knew the roads off the back of his hands. All up I could not recommend this tour enough...from the midnight sun in Nordkapp and the bobsledding in Lillehammer to the Sea Fortress and markets in Helsinki this trip I would do all over again in a heartbeat!! I have defintely made friends and family jealous after showing them all the amazing photos!!Show more
