Yes, our accommodation on this trip is all multi-share dorm rooms. If you would like to have your own room throughout the trip, we can certainly look into the possibility of a private room for you.

Is it possible for us to share a room/bed on this trip?

The rooms are multi-share, mixed-sex dorms. If you're travelling with your fiancée, we can link your bookings and ensure that you're roomed together in the same dorm. If you'd prefer a bit more privacy, we can look into a private room option for an additional £500.

Would he not be allowed to go or is there any experience that would make it difficult for him to participate?

Unfortunately the hostels we stay at in New Zealand do not accept anyone over the age of 45, so we wouldn't be able to book your father onto a tour there.

Is there an option to upgrade to single room accommodation for an extra fee or is dorm share the only option?

We can certainly look into the possibility of a private room for you. However we do room you with someone of the same gender (excluding multi-share accommodation) and try our best to room you with someone of a similar age. Also Group Members are in their hotel rooms for a very limited time throughout the trip, as there are activities most days and things planned most evenings.

The hostels were very nice for hostels the one in rotarua was bleh but not the worst I’ve seen. The other two hostels lylo and fins were really perfect with pods and space to be alone and decompress or be social if you’re feeling it. The experiences that were included were worth the cost of the trip and had a good time on the way. The people in the tour group were lovely and made the time even better. Seeing karaoke on a sailboat to high school musical is a memory I won’t soon forget!Show more

  For a private room it would cost an extra $600 USD and this would be a private room for the entirity of the tour, however just to make you aware some of the accommodations will still have shared bathrooms on the landings instead of ensuites.
