Itinerary
- Day 1
Anchorage
You'll be picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel where you'll meet the rest of your tour group. Later in the evening, you'll get a briefing about the week ahead and learn which optional activities interest you most, including whale watching, glacier flights, and kayaking options.

- Day 2
Anchorage - Talkeetna - Denali National Park
The drive to Talkeetna takes you through some beautiful Alaskan landscape. This town of about 400 people sits at the base of Denali, so you'll see views of North America's tallest mountain while browsing shops and trying local food like reindeer sausages or homemade ice cream. From there, you'll head to Denali National Park where your guide takes you to dinner at a restaurant that specializes in Alaskan dishes.

Landmarks Talkeetna Denali National Park 
- Day 3
Denali National Park
A shuttle bus from the park takes you deep into Denali for the wildlife tour, and this is one of the highlights of the trip. You'll have chances to see grizzly bears, caribou, moose, and wolves moving through the landscape. If you're interested, there's optional white water rafting on the Nenana River available in the evening.

Landmarks Denali National Park Nenana River - Day 4
Denali National Park - Wasilla - Mat-Su Valley
Willow is known for dog sledding, particularly the Iditarod race that runs 1100 miles from Anchorage to Nome. You'll visit an active dog sledding lodge where you can optionally take a guided ride yourself. After that, you'll drive to Mat-Su Valley, a region with around 30,000 people spread across rivers, lakes, and streams.

Landmarks Willow Mat-Su Valley Iditarod Trail - Day 5
Matanuska Glacier
You'll head east on the Glenn Highway through rugged mountain terrain where elk are common to see. After about 1.5 hours, you'll reach Matanuska Glacier, one of America's largest glaciers that comes right down to the roadside. Once you settle in, you'll do a guided hike on the glacier itself. Later you'll stop at Hatcher Pass in the Talkeetna Mountains to visit a historic mine and learn about frontier life.

Landmarks Matanuska Glacier Hatcher Pass - Day 6
Wasilla - Seward - Kenai Peninsula
The route to Seward gives you views of the snow-capped Chugach and Kenai Mountains the whole way. At the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, you'll have time to photograph grizzly bears, black bears, bison, and musk oxen. After lunch, you'll hike to Tosina Beach in Lowell Point where you can see salmon, bald eagles, rainforest, and glaciers.

- Day 7
Seward
This day is flexible and you can spend it however you like. Check out the Seward museum or shops, grab lunch at a local restaurant, or consider booking one of the optional activities like a boat tour to Kenai Fjord National Park to see humpback whales, sea otters, and glaciers. Kayaking in Resurrection Bay or a helicopter or jet boat trip to Bear Glacier are other options if you want something more active.

Seward - Girdwood - Anchorage
You'll head back toward Anchorage on the Seward Highway, stopping in Girdwood, a town with gold rush history that's now a ski resort. Take the gondola up Alyeska Mountain and have lunch at the top with views of the Chugach Mountains and Turnagain Arm. After that, continue to Anchorage Airport for your departure.
