You'll arrive in Blois and spend time walking the cobbled streets and arcaded squares, getting a feel for this riverside town. The château here is impressive, so don't skip it. After checking in at Hotel Le Monarque, you can rest before heading to dinner in the evening.

Blois to Chitenay
A transfer takes you to Chambord, which is the largest château in the Loire Valley. You'll walk through the estate's forest, then head across open countryside where you'll pass through some quiet wine villages. By afternoon, a transfer brings you to your hotel in Chitenay.

- Day 3
Chitenay
Based in the wine village of Chitenay, you'll visit Cheverny, which has one of the region's largest art collections. From there, you'll check out Château de Troussay with its rich furnishings and decorated ceilings. Later in the afternoon, head back to relax by the hotel pool.

Chitenay to Chenonceaux
A 20-minute transfer gets you to Bourre where you'll walk alongside the River Cher. The Caves des Roches are optional if you're interested in exploring former limestone mines and mushroom caves, or you can visit La Magnanerie de Bourre to see traditional cave dwellings and a silk-worm farm. Lunch happens in Montrichard, then you'll walk the GR41 trail to Chenonceaux.

Chenonceaux
Château de Chenonceau is your focus this morning with its distinctive arches spanning the river. You'll learn about its history through famous residents like Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de'Medici. Later, a train ride takes you to Tours where you can explore the university city's bars, cafés, restaurants, and independent shops in the old quarter.

Chenonceaux to Amboise
You'll transfer to Montlouis then follow the GR3 trail's back roads, which run parallel to the River Loire. Walking through sprawling vineyards, you'll have chances to stop and taste wines along the way. You'll continue alongside the Loire until you reach Amboise, a bustling market town.

Amboise
Amboise has medieval character and strong connections to the French Royal Family. Clos Luce is where you'll see Leonardo da Vinci's museum with his original work and his tomb. The Château d'Amboise has an impressive Son et Lumière display to catch. Throughout the day, try local wines and produce at the various restaurants and cafés in town.
