- Day 1
San Jose
A local representative meets you at the airport and takes you on a shared transfer to your San Jose hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to walk around the city and get your bearings at your own pace.

San Jose to Tortuguero
You'll be picked up at 6:00 am for the journey to Tortuguero National Park on the North Caribbean Coast. Breakfast happens around 8:30 am in Guápiles, then it's on to La Pavona dock to board a shared boat heading to the lodge. After checking in around 1:00 pm and having lunch, your guide takes you out on the famous Tortuguero Canals to look for wildlife and check out the smaller hidden waterways.

- Day 3
Tortuguero
Breakfast comes first, then around 9:00 am you'll join your guide for a nature walk on the lodge's private trails. The morning is open after that, so you can cool off in the pool and relax. By 2:30 pm your guide brings you to the small village of Tortuguero, and then you return to the lodge to unwind for the evening.

- Day 4
Tortuguero to Puerto Viejo
After breakfast and checkout around 9:30 am, you'll take a shared boat and then a land transfer back to Guápiles for lunch. At 1:30 pm the journey continues to Puerto Viejo, the Caribbean beach town, and you'll arrive around 4:30 pm. Check in and settle in with the evening free to soak in the beach town vibe.

Puerto Viejo
This is a day to take things slow in Puerto Viejo. Have breakfast at the hotel, then spend your time exploring the Caribbean beach town, its surroundings, and beaches however you'd like.

Puerto Viejo to Arenal
After breakfast and checkout, a local representative picks you up around 9:30 am for the drive to La Fortuna de San Carlos in the Arenal region, home to the Arenal Volcano. You'll arrive around 3:00 pm, check into your hotel, and have free time to explore the area on your own.

Arenal

Arenal to Tamarindo
After breakfast and checkout, meet your local representative around 8:00 am in the hotel lobby for a shared transfer to Tamarindo beach on the North Pacific Coast of Guanacaste Province. You'll arrive around 1:00 pm, check in, and then the rest of the day is open for relaxing at the resort or wandering around the beach town.
