What % of this trip is on dedicated bike paths?

    • EurobikeOperatorWritten December 2022

You will cycle on beautiful bike paths along the river valleys of Eisack and Adige. From Verona you will pedal mostly on side roads with little traffic. You will be taken up to the Brenner Pass from where the route will take you downhill 1,300 meters in altitude. There are only a few short climbs on Lake Caldaro and before Verona.

    • EurobikeOperatorWritten December 2022

It is mainly on dedicated bike paths and from Verona also on side roads with traffic. It is not to be compared with the Danube, where only on cycle paths is cycled.

    Asked on May 27th, 2022

Does your company organize a self-guided cycling option with accommodation and luggage transfer pre booked. We have completed other rides this way. We would be looking at doing a customised trip that is from anywhere from 15 to 18 days. The first one would be a Hamburg to Prague trip. The second option would be to do a section of the Francigena which we have already done before so we were thinking of maybe doing a trip from Rome to Lausanne as we have already done the whole route from Canterbury to Rome on a previous trip. We would be looking at doing around 50 to 80 kms per day and for hotels, we don't need anything fancy so 2 to 3 star hotels would be fine along the route. Every few days we would like to have rest days preferably in a nice town we can go explore. We would be bringing our own bikes so would just need maps and an itinerary to follow. Our group would also consist of 4 to 5 people. We would also be looking at doing this trip in September 2023 so just in the planning stages at this time. Would this be possible to do and would you be able to help us organize this type of trip?

Unfortunately we do not organize such requested tours. Our tours can only be booked as they are offered. Small changes such as combine stages or the combination of two tours are possible. But we do not organize individual tours.

Can you explain what the rental bike plus includes? I am looking at booking this tour for my 15 year old daughter and I on 24 Sep. I have found a few other similar tours which seem to be slightly cheaper so I am just trying to work out my best option.

With our Rental Bike PLUS, we offer free wheel and higher quality bike components. The bike includes 27 gears, hydraulic Magura breaks HS 11, Shimano Deore XT, a Suntour suspension fork for comfort, and allows for a sportier sitting posture.
