Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Bozeman to Yellowstone

    You'll meet your group in Bozeman and drive out to West Yellowstone for a zipline adventure across a 3,000-foot ropes course. After grabbing a picnic lunch, head to Geyser Hill to walk around and see what's there. Later you'll settle into Old Faithful Snow Lodge, and if you time it right, catch the geyser erupting after dark.

  2. Day 2

    Yellowstone

    Start with a hearty breakfast, then hike up to Observation Point for views across the geyser fields. During lunch your guide will have prepared a picnic for the group. Afterward, you'll do another hike along the northern shore of Lake Yellowstone, walking through meadows filled with wildflowers and lodgepole pine forests with the Absaroka Mountain Range visible in the distance. By evening you'll reach Lake Lodge Cabins in the park's north section.

  3. Day 3

    Yellowstone

    In the morning check out the Upper Falls of the Yellowstone River, then hike the Wapiti Trail heading toward the rim of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone (it drops about 1,000 feet). You'll trek along canyon walls showing off pink, yellow, red, and orange colors until reaching Artist Point, which gives you the best view of the Lower Falls around. After lunch you'll descend Uncle Tom's Trail and head to Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel for the night.

  4. Day 4

    Yellowstone

    Rise early to catch sunrise and do wildlife viewing in Lamar Valley, which gets called America's Serengeti because so many animals congregate there. Later drive to Mammoth for a picnic lunch, then hike the Snow Pass trail (mostly downhill) through pines and aspen groves to see Mammoth Hot Springs' colorful mineral terraces. You'll finish the day in Gardiner with the evening free to walk around and explore on your own.

  5. Day 5

    Mammoth to Paradise Valley

    Take a relaxed morning at the hotel with breakfast, then head to Yellowstone Hot Springs where you can choose between a hot plunge, cold plunge, or the 102°F/39°C main pool. After a picnic lunch you'll drive through Paradise Valley to Flying Diamond Ranch and saddle up for a horseback ride into the Absaroka Mountains with fifth-generation ranchers. End the day at historic Chico Hot Springs Resort with time to soak in the mineral waters and have a special gourmet dinner.

  6. Day 6

    Paradise Valley to Bozeman

    Sleep in and enjoy a leisurely morning at the resort. You can stroll through the gardens or take an optional scenic hike to Trout Pond before heading back to the hotel or airport to finish your adventure.
