Can we get a visa for Laos at the border?

Evisa is recommended for Laos but If you plan to get an visa on arrival at the border, please ensure that you have at least 1 passport photo and up to USD45 cash for your application. Please provide your sales agent with accurate passport details prior to the departure of your trip as these details will be passed on to your leader to help speed up the process. Those without a photo, or who are arriving on a weekend, holiday or after hours, will have to pay an additional one or two dollars. All visa fees are payable in cash only.

Can I confirm I would be able to book a single room for this tour? I don't see an option to add that on the booking page. Can I confirm the price of a single room is $450 Canadian, which is what I believe is posted on Intrepid's site.

A single supplement is available if you'd prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement excludes Day 2 (Overnight train) and Day 6 (Pak Beng) where you will be in shared accommodation and is subject to availability. You can request your own room for $450.

Is it possible to join tour if we travel from Mumbai India?

We welcome travelers from all over the globe. You would absolutely be able to take this trip, if you were coming from Mumbai. We do advise, however, that you ensure that you check visa requirements for these countries. Presently, this departure date is on sale. The current price per traveler is GBP 1313. Our tours do not include airfare to and from the trip. Travel within the itinerary, however, is included.

What is the average group size for each trip?

Intrepid is a small group tour operator with maximum group sizes of 16 passengers. They usually operate with an average of 10 passengers, however. They also guarantee every single one of their departures so if you book you are going.

I would like to have the river cruise, what time should I arrive?

If you would like to join the group on the river cruise, you will have to arrive at the hotel no later than 8am.

Will we have guides the whole time?

Most of the activities during the days are at the leisure of the group, so the guide will not necessarily be with you the entire time. The activities where the guide will be with you the entire time and taking you through the activities are listed under "Included Activities" on each day in the itinerary. For example, in Bangkok on Days 1 and 2, the activities included with the guide are the Khlong boat (canal) tour and the Wat Pho Temple, as listed at the bottom of the Bangkok description in the itinerary.

Is the age limit strict on this tour?

Intrepid's age cap is more of a guideline, so as long as you are physically fit and able there should be no problem.

I have a 9 year old boy in my group, is it OK?

For this trip the minimum age is 15. Intrepid offers a wide range of Family Adventures around the globe. Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Intrepid Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
