For the Britain and Ireland Explorer adventure, we have two options, and the prices below already include the single supplement (private room surcharge): - 14 May 2027 – With London hotel: CAD 7,185.00 - 16 May 2027 – Without London hotel: CAD 6,325.00 Please note that all trip rates are subject to change, so we recommend booking soon to lock in the best available price for your preferred date and option.

How much travel time is between each destination?

This tour involves some longer coach journeys as it covers 5 countries and 34 cities over 16 days. Travel times between destinations vary by day, but most coach transfers are typically between 2 and 4 hours, with sightseeing and comfort stops included along the way. Some longer touring days, particularly when traveling between regions of Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, may involve 5–7 hours of total travel time spread throughout the day. Your Travel Director will provide the daily schedule during the tour, including approximate departure times, rest stops, and arrival times at each destination.

Coming from the US, do we need a visa or other travel documents, besides our passports???

For the Britain & Ireland Explorer tour, U.S. citizens do not typically need a visa for short tourist visits to the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland. We are unable to advise on the need to obtain visas as this information is regulated by individual governments and subject to change. It is the guest's responsibility for obtaining all necessary visas prior to the departure of your trip. This tour requires UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for the UK portions of the trip. We recommend applying for the ETA before departure and checking the latest entry requirements closer to your travel date.

Could you please provide information on transportation between Britain and Ireland, as well as hotel options for this tour?

This tour utilizes a motorcoach for transportation between cities throughout the itinerary. However, airport transfers on the first and last day are not included. Guests are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the airport at their own expense. Guests' documents will include information on public transportation options to/from the airport, along with estimated costs for a taxi where available. We recommend that guests book a private transfer or shared shuttle directly through our trusted partner, Suntransfers, prior to departure. All hotels in any gateway will be serviced by Suntransfers, they just may not show in the drop down when searching. There is an option later in the booking process for guests to add the address.

If I find someone to go with me before we leave, what happens to the money I've paid as a single? do they pay me? If I find someone soon, does the amount I'm paying change?

If you are able to find a co-traveler before your trip, we can update your room assignment from a single room to a twin room. This means you will be charged the twin room rate per person instead of the single room rate. Please note that all pricing is subject to change. We kindly ask that you coordinate directly with your co-traveler regarding payment arrangements, as we may not be able to process a refund. Any amount you have already paid may instead be applied toward the remaining balance of the booking. To avoid any confusion with payments, we strongly recommend securing a co-traveler before proceeding with your booking. Take note that our tours do have variable pricing, which is subject to change at any time, there's no guarantee that the prices we quoted will be the same the next time we check for availability. So, when the actual booking is done then the price is also confirmed.

I like this tour and will be in london to start this. I don't see this tour stops at Stonehenge and we really want to see that. Is it definitely not a part of this tour near bath?

Regarding your question about Stonehenge: this particular itinerary does not include a stop at Stonehenge, even though the tour passes near Bath. The schedule focuses on other highlights across Britain and Ireland.

On the final day (August 10th) at what time does the tour end? I had planned to go to Barcelona in the evening. Will there be enough time to make my connection to Spain?

Guests are dropped off at the tour hotel in London late afternoon/early evening on the last day of the tour, where their tour comes to an end, approximately 4:30 PM. Since your planned departure to Barcelona is later that evening, you should have enough time to make your onward connection, provided you allow for travel from the hotel to the airport and any standard check‐in requirements.

What time do they need to arrive in London? Does it start upon landing in the airport? Also what time would the tour end in London and where? The airport?

This trip shows a discount through tour radar but when i try to check out the discount price goes back to the regular price. Also I'd like to know if there is a pickup and drop off to the airport? If no where exactly will the tour start and end. I am trying to see the best flight options and if i will need to book a hotel prior to the tour beginning and after.

Would we have separate beds in all accommodation? What would the extra be for separate rooms?

If you book the Twin Room option, you will have two separate beds in all accommodations. The cost for this option is NZD 6,725.00 per person. If you prefer a Single Room, you will have the room entirely to yourself with your own bed in all accommodations. This option costs an additional NZD 1,150.00, bringing the total to NZD 7,875.00 per person.

I want to go in November but it won't let me choose

Gary did an amazing job "herding cats" as was our tour group. He did an excellent job explaining the itinerary for each day and on multiple occasions so we would not forget. Gary did a great job answering any question or taking a question to the group for any to try and answer. Gary was a world of knowledge every where we went and helped tie the bus trip and landscape together. I am definitely going to use Costsaver again, refer to all my friends & family, and make sure to get Gary's advice on any future expedition. All the bus drivers were excellent. I guess it depends on what you want out of the tour. If you want to see the countryside. We saw a lot of that. Many of the hotel choices were not great in my opinion, and were often outside of town or in weird locations like the company was chasing price, so when you had down time you had to make arrangements to get into the city which was costly. Many of the main attractions (that interested me) I felt rushed. I always felt like I would get part way through something and had to head back. So most of the value of the trip was seeing the countryside. Our tour guide Gary did a good job and was pleasant, maybe a bit hard to understand at times but he did a good job. It was a good trip and a good value but if you looking for the juicy parts of seeing a castle or something for instance it's not there. Usually just a flyby and most of the castles are really just frumpy houses of the time. I would call the trip a good overview of the countries which may give you a better understanding of what you might want to go back to see.Show more

This tour was absolutely amazing. So much to see, and never enough time. But everything that I saw and everywhere I went was necessary. There was no waste of time events or towns visited. The tour guide was also just the best. Rob really went above and beyond to help people out, to explain the itinerary each day, his recommendations and ideas were super helpful. He seemed super passionate about the history and culture of the countries we visited too. The hotels were for the most part good standard. One or two I wouldn't stay at again, but they really are just a place to sleep and store your luggage while you're exploring. It's long days on the coach but the scenery well makes up for it. Nothing felt rushed, except when the trip was widening up and the days just flew by. But that's personal perception I highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Rob and TomShow more

Travel times between destinations vary by day, but most coach transfers are typically between 2 and 4 hours, with sightseeing and comfort stops included along the way.   This tour utilizes a motorcoach for transportation between cities throughout the itinerary. However, airport transfers on the first and last day are not included. Guests are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the airport at their own expense. Guests' documents will include information on public transportation options to/from the airport, along with estimated costs for a taxi where available. We recommend that guests book a private transfer or shared shuttle directly through our trusted partner, Suntransfers, prior to departure. All hotels in any gateway will be serviced by Suntransfers, they just may not show in the drop down when searching. There is an option later in the booking process for guests to add the address.

  Tour departs London hotel between 04:00am – 09:00am. A pre night in London is required due to early departure times and is not included as part of the tour. Guests should make their own arrangements; they will need to be at the London hotel at least 30 minutes prior to departure on day 01. Guests are dropped off at the tour hotel in London late afternoon/early evening on the last day of the tour, where their tour comes to an end. For departure flights, we do not recommend flying in the evening on the last day of the tour, as unforeseen circumstances may arise upon return to London and cause delays. Travel times from Central London to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) can range from 40 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on traffic conditions. A post night in London is strongly recommended and is not included as part of the tour. Transfers are not offered through Costsaver. Guests should make their own way from/to the airport at their own expense. Currently, the hotel listed in London is at Novotel Brentford but please note that hotels are subject to change. When booking extra nights independently, please book with a flexible cancellation policy in case of hotel change. Our recommended airport for this tour is at either London Heathrow Airport (LHR) or London Gatwick Airport (LGW).
