That seems expensive and adds significantly to the cost of the trip. Are better rates available to rent the bikes by the week or even by the two weeks, rather than paying a daily rate? Are the bikes your bikes, or rented from somewhere else? On the trip do you have mechanical support with tools and parts to maintain and repair the bikes? Are expected common repairs such as as replacing brakes, fixing blown tires and replacing broken derailleur hangers included in the cost?

Regarding the mountain bike rental, we have two options available: Full-suspension mountain bike: USD 50 per day Hardtail mountain bike: USD 30 per day For the 14-day trip, the bike is required for 12 days, so the total rental cost would be: Full-suspension: USD 600 Hardtail: USD 360 The bikes are rented from a local bike shop that we have been working with for many years. They normally charge us on a daily basis, so unfortunately we are not able to offer a separate weekly or two-week rental rate. However, you would pay the full bike rental amount at once rather than paying day by day. For mechanical support, your guide will carry the necessary tools and repair equipment throughout the trip. If the bike requires repairs during the journey, the guide will assist with and carry out the repairs where possible.

The best time to visit, considering the weather, is during the months of October and November. Suitable clothing includes warm, comfortable layers suitable for trekking.

Biking the Annapurna Circuit is only a bit difficult. If you are fit and healthy and cycle often, then this trip will not be difficult for you. You will reach the height of 5416 meters. The paths are sometimes rocky and uneven, especially in higher elevations.

Our communication with Rana at Adventure Himalayan Travels & treks was good, the reply was always quick and he replied to all our questions and inquiries. We also met shortly our first night in Kathmandu for greetings and introduction to our guide Harka. Harka is a great guy with lots of humour and an excellent guide. He made sure that we had everything we needed on the trek at all times. Whether it was keeping track on bookings, go in advance to order lunch or helping out with the bikes so they always was in good condition. You name it and Harka fix. We felt real lucky with such an experienced and pro guide. Absolutely worth a little xtra pay. The route and scenery was awesome both up and down, and on the way down from Thurong pass towards Pokhara we went trough some awesome downhill and real fun singel trails. The ride in general was at times quite hard and bumpy and also quite technical, so a little experience in advance is nice, but not a necessity you just need to go real slow at times. All in all great experience, totally recommend and much more fun to bike than hike.Show more
