How difficult is the ascent to Machu pichu. We are in our 70's

For maximum enjoyment, you will be walking on cobblestone streets uneven pathways and climbing flights of stairs. This tour has elevations exceeding 10,000 feet. These high elevations can make it difficult for anyone.

Do you offer vegetarian meals? Dairy and eggs are ok.

We cannot guarantee meal requests will be accommodated, as it is up to the venue that is hosting our group for meals. We can always submit meal requests to our operations and they will advise the venues, but you will still be responsible for communicating your dietary needs directly with the venues while on tour.

First and foremost the guide we had was so great Jaime Lenin was such a joy to tour with! He bent over backwards to make certain we were having a great time. He made himself available for questions and advice whenever we needed it. I deal with a ot of Arthritic pain, he made sure I was comfortable, but also encouraged me to push through my pain to ensure I saw the best parts of the tour, especially Machu Picchu - some days I can’t walk 100 meters, but with Jaime’s support and guidance, I was able to walk through and see the whole of the incredible Inca site. That day, with Jaime’s support and guidance I walked 8.4 kilometers - I haven’t been able to do that in years! He was so great!Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 22nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 22nd, 2026, a minimum payment of $250 is required to confirm your booking with Globus. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Globus will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
