  What is the cruise line and the room description for the top 2 room categories? What star rating rooms are use in the land portion?

    For the land portion Globus has made a commitment to place guests in first-class hotels or better, located centrally in the overnight location allowing for maximum sightseeing opportunities.   What size is the ship for the cruise portion of the trip?

    The ship we have assigned to this tour will be one of our midsized ships. The passenger capacity is just over 2000 and almost 900 crew members. It has 11 decks and just under 90,000 tons.

    Do you have any Alaska land/cruise tours with a smaller ship? The land portion of this tour provides a smaller more intimate experience. To then go on a ship with thousands of passengers would be somewhat of a culture shock.

    We do not offer another tour that would have a smaller cruising experience. The cruising portion is Third Party so we have no control over the amount of participants on the ship.

    For this particular tour, a twin occupancy is required, meaning two people per room. Unfortunately, a single traveler option isn't available. Please let me know if you might have a travel companion in mind or if you'd be interested in other Alaska tours that offer a single supplement option.

    We do have space available for a single traveler. These spots are on request, we will have to get this approved with our Operations team. Please know there will be an additional $3719 CAD plus the fee to upgrade your cabin selection (ranging from $80 to $160 CAD for an Inside cabin, $1380 to $1460 CAD for an Outside Cabin and $2720 to $2820 CAD for a Veranda cabin).

    We will have you booked in First Class to Superior First Class hotels. Once booked, you will receive a list of hotels we intend to use. Then those hotels will be updated and/or confirmed 30 days prior to your departure.

  Do the various categories when selecting the accommodations refer to cabin type on the ship? If so, what are the ships that you use? What is the difference between Category VA Twin and Category VB Twin?

    The categories you choose are the different cabin types. The ship used for this tour is Holland America's MS Noordam. Both VA and VB cabins are 212-359 square feet, including Verandah. They are on Decks 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Each has a bathtub and shower, sitting area, private verandah, floor to ceiling windows. I am unsure what the difference between VA and VB cabins would be. Cabins are assigned upon embarkation and we are not able to request specific cabins or decks.

  There seems to be two tours with the same name, a 10 day anchorage to anchorage and a 14 day which includes a cruise. Can you please give me the price for each for a single traveller. Can a single traveller share with another single traveller? Thanks.

    Thank you for your message. Yes the departure date is same for both tour codes, as the tour AJ is the land tour and tour AJI is the tour with the cruise.

  Please explain how the accommodations differ. Is there a list of descriptions for the room codes? Also, how do I ensure that we have a cabin with a balcony on the cruise?

    For the land portion of the tour, you will be booked into standard hotel rooms at each property. For the cruise portion, there are different cabin categories you can book. The base price is based on an inside cabin, category L. The upgrades are as follows: Inside cabin category K - Standard or Large interior stateroom upper decks, Inside cabin category J - Large interior stateroom lower decks, Outside cabin category D - Partially Obstructed or Obstructed View Verandah, Outside cabin category C - Ocean View, Veranda cabin category VD - Obstructed View Verandah, Veranda cabin category VC - Unobstructed View Verandah. Cabin numbers will be assigned upon embarkation.

    Our new COVID-19 vaccination policy requires full vaccination of all guests through the end of 2022. Full vaccination for all ages 12 and up must be completed at least 14 days prior to the tour start date. All guests must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination on arrival via electronic or hard copy documentation.
