Belgrade
Your driver meets you at Nikola Tesla Airport and takes you to your hotel in Belgrade. After settling in, you'll head out to Skadarlija in the evening, the city's old bohemian quarter. The streets there are lined with traditional kafanas where you can try local food and hear live music throughout the night.

Belgrade
You'll take a panoramic tour of Belgrade checking out Socialist landmarks like Branko's Bridge and the Belgrade Waterfront. Then you'll walk through the city centre, hitting Republic Square and Knez Mihailova Street. The Temple of Saint Sava, Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park are all on the agenda with nice river views. If you're interested, you can have traditional coffee and rakija at a historic tavern or take an evening river cruise.

Fruška Gora - Sremski Karlovci - Novi Sad - Belgrade
You'll travel north to Vojvodina to check out Fruška Gora National Park, also known as the 'Serbian Holy Land' because it has 17 Orthodox monasteries. You'll visit Krušedol Monastery then head to Sremski Karlovci, a Baroque town with a historic cathedral and the first Serbian secondary school. Later you'll reach Novi Sad and see Petrovaradin Fortress. There's an optional wine tasting to learn about the region's wines, including the famous Bermet. You'll return to Belgrade for the evening.

Timișoara - Sibiu
After checking out, you'll drive to Timișoara in western Romania, nicknamed 'Little Vienna' for its unique architecture. You'll visit Unirii Square, Liberty Square and Victory Square with the Romanian National Opera. Then you'll head through Transylvania with views of the Carpathian Mountains and arrive in Sibiu, a medieval UNESCO-protected city. You'll explore the old town, the Large Square with Brukenthal Museum and various historic landmarks before checking in.

Astra Museum Complex - Transfăgărășan Road - Sinaia
Start with coffee on Sibiu's cobbled streets, then visit the Astra National Museum Complex, one of Europe's largest open-air museums with traditional rural houses and wooden churches. You'll drive through Transylvania to the Transfăgărășan scenic road, winding through the Carpathian Mountains. The cable car takes you up to Bâlea Lake, a glacial lake with mountain views. Later you'll reach Sinaia and check in to your hotel.

Peleș Castle - Brașov - Bran Castle - Sinaia
You'll start at Peleș Castle, a Neo-Renaissance palace with over 160 rooms, ornate stained glass and detailed sculptures. Next you'll go to Brașov, founded by the Teutonic Knights, and walk down one of the world's narrowest streets to see the Gothic Biserica Neagră (Black Church). Then you'll explore Bran Castle, a 13th-century fortress on a 60-meter cliff linked to Dracula legends. You'll return to Sinaia in the evening.

Dealu Mare Wine Region - Bucharest
After checking out, you'll have a leisurely morning in Sinaia before heading south through Transylvania. You'll travel through the Dealu Mare wine region south of the Carpathians where there's an optional wine tasting at a local winery. By afternoon you'll arrive in Bucharest for hotel check-in and free time to explore Romania's capital.

Bucharest
You'll explore Bucharest, called 'The Little Paris', starting at Arcul de Triumf. You'll see the opulent House of Ceaușescu and drive along Bulevardul Unirii's monumental avenue. The People's Salvation Cathedral and the massive Palace of the Parliament are both on your route. Later you'll stroll through the Old Town seeing the Romanian Athenaeum, the Royal Palace with the National Museum of Art, and Stavropoleos Monastery. An optional Art Nouveau dinner is available.

Veliko Tarnovo - Arbanasi
After leaving Bucharest, you'll travel to Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria's former Second Bulgarian Empire capital. You'll walk the cobblestone streets discovering Tsarevets fortress and the medieval city. Then you'll head to Arbanasi village, an architectural reserve with 17th-century Ottoman architecture. You'll check in to Arbanashki Han, an ethno complex that captures the feel of a 17th-century Turkish han motel.

- Day 10
Etar Ethno Village - Valley of Roses - Plovdiv
You'll explore the Open Air Ethnographic Museum Etar with historic water-powered installations, artisans' workshops and Bulgarian National Revival architecture. There's a hands-on workshop where you can make natural herbal cosmetics using traditional recipes. Then you'll head south to the Valley of Roses to visit the Damascena Complex and Bulgaria's first private rose factory. You'll learn about rose oil production before heading to Plovdiv, one of Europe's oldest cities, to see the Ancient Theatre and Old Town. Check-in happens in the evening.

Sofia
After checking out, you'll have free time to explore Plovdiv at your own pace before the drive to Sofia. You'll arrive in Sofia, Bulgaria's capital, which blends onion-domed churches, communist architecture and Ottoman heritage. You'll visit the impressive Saint Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the colorful Church of Saint Nicholas the Miracle-Maker, Ivan Vazov National Theatre, Church of Saint George, Banya Bashi Mosque, Sofia Synagogue and the National Palace of Culture. After checking in, you'll have time to rest.

After checking out, you'll leave Bulgaria and travel to Niš in southern Serbia, birthplace of Roman Emperor Constantine the Great. You'll explore Niš Fortress, Serbia's largest and best-preserved Turkish military fortress, then visit Tinkers Alley in the old čaršija market with cafés and restaurants. You'll taste authentic southern Serbian cuisine like ćevapi and sarma. Later you'll head to the Resava Valley to visit Manasija Monastery, a medieval complex with towers, walls and well-preserved frescoes. You'll return to Belgrade for hotel check-in.

Šumadija Region - Zlatibor Mountain
After checking out from Belgrade, you'll travel south to Oplenac where royals are buried. You'll visit the royal mausoleum and one of the beautiful wineries. You'll experience a wine journey through the Šumadija region, tasting three sorts of wine at a century-old winery and learning about the Royal Karadjordjević dynasty's influence on Serbian wine. Then you'll drive to Zlatibor Mountain and check in to your hotel for a relaxing walk around town. A traditional Serbian dinner with regional specialties is served in the evening.

Drvengrad - Šargan Eight - Višegrad - Sarajevo
After checking out, you'll travel to Drvengrad (Wooden-Town), an ethno village built by filmmaker Emir Kusturica from natural wood materials. It has the Mećavnik Hotel, galleries, shops, cinema and a church. Since 2008 it's hosted the Kustendorf Film and Music Festival with celebrities. You'll ride a retro 'Nostalgia' train along the narrow-gauge heritage railway Šargan Eight, which has a figure-eight shape with stunning scenery, tunnels and viaducts. Then you'll go to Višegrad to explore Andričgrad (Stone-Town), another Kusturica creation on the Drina River near the famous bridge. After lunch, you'll drive to Sarajevo for hotel check-in.

You'll start at Vječna Vatra (Eternal Flame), a WWII memorial, then explore Sarajevo's cultural and historical treasures. You'll taste famous burek at a local bakery and stroll the Ferhadiya pedestrian zone visiting the Sacred Heart Cathedral and a 16th-century Orthodox Church. You'll discover Ba\u0161čaršija old town where you can see orthodox, Catholic and Islamic cultures. You'll try some of the best ćevapi around and experience the local coffee tradition. Sites include Vijećnica (City Hall), Latin Bridge, Bezistan market, Gazi Husrev-beg mosque and Sahat Tower. There's a hands-on workshop where you can learn traditional Bosnian copper modeling, a 500-year-old craft, making jewelry or intricate reliefs under a master artisan's guidance. Free time allows for lunch on the Neretva River banks with bridge views. Then you'll continue to Trebinje, starting with Hercegovačka Gračanica, a Serbian Orthodox temple with breathtaking views and intricate frescoes. You'll explore Trebinje's charming center visiting Arslanagića Bridge and Poet's Square before checking in.

You'll take a short drive to the ferry port and board a high-speed catamaran to Hvar, the queen of Croatian islands. You'll enjoy azure seascape through Splitska Vrata and explore the Venetian architecture-style island-city with traffic-free cobbled streets, restaurants and bars. The walking tour covers the harbour, Renaissance Cathedral, Benedictine Convent, Franciscan monastery and Church of Our Lady of Mercy. Swimming isn't allowed but you can relax at nearby restaurants surrounded by untouched beauty. You'll continue to Zagreb, Croatia's vibrant capital nestled in the continent's heart. After checking in, you'll have free time to explore and arrange your own dinner.

Zagreb
After checking out, you'll conclude the Balkan tour with a Zagreb sightseeing tour exploring main attractions. You'll visit Kaptol, the medieval part of Zagreb, and the Franciscan monastery with its 13th-century Church of Saint Francis. You'll walk around Dolac, Zagreb's best-known farmers' market, and admire the baroque architecture of the 18th-century Church of Saint Mary. The tour concludes at Ban Josip Jelačić's monument in the square named after him. Most guests extend their trip independently and airport transfer at tour end isn't included.
