- AMaureen Mangiaracina· June 30th, 2023overall, the tour was very good. Our bus driver/ tour director, John was exceptional. The primary complaints surrounded CIE's decision to not issue dinner vouchers, after a 6 hour delay, when our ferry from Scotland to Ireland had mechanical break down. Cie knew our situation which was very unique but instead had us all on the tour pay for our meals on trhe ferry knowing we would be back to our hotel after midnight. We are blaming CIE for their insensitivity and disregard for all of us. We missed a pre scheduled meal, thereby abandoning their responsiblitilty to support by paying the vouchers for all of us who werea captive audience. Our dinner prescheduled dinner at the Marriot hotel was part of our dinners paid for up front and part of our trip. Additionally, the complaints related London The on again off again bus did not have anyone to talk letting all of us know what site was coming up nor the stops to get back on the bus. Also, on the first day in London, the city tour gave us a synopsis of London sites. The problem is the trip started late in the afternoon, which caused us to not get into sites such as the Crown Jewels because of huge crowds. Finally, we were taken to a small historic lake town with beautiful shops and buildings. After, the 30 mi9nute boat ride we were placed back on the bus and with a drive to a shopping and food place off the highway. We were unhappy with that decision it was very disappointing not to the town. Overall, we enjoyed our trip, hotels, dinners except for the above noted problem. We feel that any future tour companies will be different than CIE. Sincerely, Charles and Maureen MangiaracinaShow moreTrip date: May 2023Review collected by CIE Tours

- AKaren Marlaine Leahy· July 23rd, 2023I loved the tour but we had issues with the transportation department, not only with the airline scheduling but also with shuttle service arriving and leaving. We have addressed these issues in another letter. I would definitely use CIE again if our concerns are addressed favorably.Show moreTrip date: June 2023Review collected by CIE Tours

Asked on September 24th, 2023My wife and her friend have some difficulty walking moderate distances. Would this be a problem.
CIE ToursOperator•Written September 2023Many of our tours incorporate walking tours in interesting locations; these are leisurely paced guided walks. Pack comfortable shoes with non-slip soles as many historic places have uneven paving. If needed they can bring a wheelchair or a walker for assistance. However, wheelchairs must be lightweight and fully collapsible. You must also travel with a companion who can push the wheelchair, and you must be able to climb on and off the coach on your own.
