You'll arrive in Vilnius today. If your flight gets in early enough, take some time to walk through the old town and get a feel for the place. The streets have real character and it's a good way to shake off travel fatigue. If you're arriving later, just head to your hotel and rest up. Either way, you'll want to be ready to explore properly tomorrow.

Vilnius
This morning you'll take a short train ride out to Pavilniai Regional Park. From there, you'll hike through forests along the river valley for about 4 hours covering roughly 10 km. The main highlight is the Pūčkoriai rock formation, which shoots up 65 meters and has geological features dating back 20,000 years. It's a solid day of walking but the scenery makes it worthwhile.

Vilnius to Trakai
You're heading to Trakai today, a medieval town about 30 km from Vilnius surrounded by lakes and forests. Start by visiting Trakai Castle, then pick your hiking level. You can do a shorter 2-hour walk covering 7 km around town and the peninsula, or go longer with a 5-hour hike that stretches 15 km and takes you through old forest and meadows out to Varnikai Reserve. By evening, you'll transfer to countryside accommodation near Trakai.

Trakai to Klaipeda
Early this morning you'll get a private transfer to Vilnius train station for the 3.5 to 4-hour journey west to Klaipeda on the Baltic coast. The train passes through beautiful Lithuanian countryside. Once you arrive, drop your luggage at the hotel and then take a 7 km coastal walk through thick forest. Along the way you'll see an ancient hillfort, WW2 fortifications and bunkers on the beach, and the Dutchmans Cap, a striking 24.4-meter high parabolic dune.

Klaipeda to Nida
A private transfer takes you to Grey dunes in Nagliai nature reserve. From there, you'll hike south along the Curonian lagoon coast through Preila toward Nida, covering 15 km over roughly 6 hours. There's a picnic lunch by Lithuania's smallest and most picturesque beacon. If you're tired later, you can catch a local bus for the final stretch, or keep walking the last 12 km to Nida if you're feeling it.

Nida
Today is yours to spend how you like in Nida. If you want to explore, there's a prepared route showing you the highlights including Parnidis dune with 360-degree views, the lighthouse, the Baltic coast, an ancient cemetery, and the Thomas Mann memorial museum. It's about 10 km of walking over 4 to 5 hours. Or simply relax on the beach and let the day unfold however feels right.

Nida to Riga
You'll get a private transfer to Klaipeda bus station, which takes about an hour. From there, catch the bus to Riga for a 5-hour journey into Latvia. Once you arrive in Riga, the afternoon is free for you to explore Latvia's largest Baltic capital at your own pace. Get settled and walk around to get oriented with the city.

Riga
Today's a walking tour through Riga's Old Town. You'll wind through narrow medieval streets and hidden alleyways, visiting sites like Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, St. Peter's Church, Swedish Gates, Three Brothers, and both the Large and Small Guild Houses. The Freedom Monument is another key stop. Riga was founded in 1201 and shows off a real mix of architectural styles. The whole walk takes 2 to 3 hours and covers 4 to 5 km.

Riga to Sigulda
Take a local train to Gauja National Park and arrive in Sigulda. After dropping your luggage at the hotel, you'll explore one of Latvia's most beautiful nature areas. The hike stretches 6 to 7 hours covering 12 to 14 km, taking you past medieval castle ruins, hills, caves, cliffs, and impressive forests with wonderful views of the Gauja River valley. People call this place the 'Switzerland of Latvia' for good reason.

- Day 10
Sigulda to Cesis
A 45-minute train takes you to Cesis. Drop your luggage at the hotel, then explore this typical European medieval town and former Hansa city. You'll see the defensive stone wall, Town Hall, and other characteristic medieval features that date back to at least the 14th century. The walking takes 2 to 3 hours covering 4 to 5 km.

Cesis
After the strenuous hiking in Sigulda, today is more relaxed. You'll take a walking tour through forests, rivers, streams, and lake shores along the Cirulesei nature trails in the Gauja River valley. You'll explore diverse forest habitats, see different tree and plant species, and learn about the area's natural heritage while walking narrow paths through the valley. Plan on 17 km and 5.5 hours of hiking.

Cesis
