  Excellent trip … thoroughly enjoyed my short solo trip in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur… accommodation was perfect and my driver Preem was amazing! My guide Amit was a brilliant host around the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort - which is a short metro station away. Leopard Safari is extra and optional - and of course sightings are not guaranteed. Tour operator was super helpful and was very responsive with my queries.Show more

  Did this tour with my wife who like myself is in her 60’s. It is quite a full-on tour but well worth the effort and the cost. Pradeep, our driver was excellent and given that there is a great deal of driving involved going around the triangle, he ensured that we were safe and comfortable. All pickups were punctual. The hotels in all 3 locations were very high quality and were a welcome oasis after a busy day. All the attractions visited were excellent but I was surprised that the most impressive for me was the Stepwell. Would thoroughly recommend this trip - just bear in mind that doing it in January you do need to ensure you have layers available as some mornings were very cold.Show more

  This trip gets you a private driver, competent tour guides that give you the details necessary to really appreciate all the monuments you visit, and clean comfortable hotel rooms. Our driver, Sandeep, was incredible. He has 14 years of experience and was able to navigate all the locations on the trip effortlessly. His English was great and he gave us some good recommendations for food along the way. Car was clean and somewhat modern. Punctuality isn’t always guaranteed in India, but in every circumstance Sandeep was ready and waiting for us. The monuments you go to on this tour are generally pretty good. Taj Mahal and the monuments in Delhi were 10/10 but I would skip the others given the choice. The pace of the trip was laid back which was nice. The tour agency did a terrible job handling the leopard safari part of this trip. The leopard park we were supposed to go to was booked up and the tour agency didn’t even try to get us a spot until our trip in India had already started. I had to advocate for us just to get into a different leopard safari and we had to pay substantially more to do that. The alternate park had half the leopards and worse site-lines. The big issue with the tours on this trip are the constant side journeys for some shop to sell you something. You will get to watch multiple people pretend to manufacture a rug in front of you, tell you some sort of sob story, and then ask for a thousand bucks. At least one day we had to sit through two different sales pitches where they show you how they manufacture something and then try to sell it to you. Regardless of what they are selling, you can almost certainly find it for cheaper at a market compared to what these people who put on a show will try to sell it for. I’ll also mention that the tour guides each day will take you to restaurants where they clearly get some form of kick back. It was refreshing one day when our lunch spot wasn’t exclusively full of tourists. Overall a great trip. Worth the money. Plan for $150 usd/person to tip your tour guides/driver, pay entry fees, etc. Make sure to ask the tour operator to book the leopard safari asap otherwise you may have to fight with it later.Show more

  I was debating if I should put 2 or 5 for my tour to India and opted for 4. The reason – I did not get to leopard safari and that safari was the main reason why I chose this tour over some more reliable - and cheaper - ones. I was told the day before safari that it was overbooked for two days that I was in Jaipur, and no substitutes have been provided (and those should be, leopard safari is advertised in the tour’s name!). Before booking, I read about some leopard safari issues in other tourists’ responses and hoped that it was resolved but… Other than that: I felt secure, hotels are good if you are OK with Indian food, some guides (there will be a different one in every city) are OK and some are very good – Nitin in Agra and especially Krishan Paliwal in Jaipur. The good guide is always a treasure of the tour! The driver was OK as a driver but his limited English sometimes left me silent for hours of driving between cities. Also be prepared that almost all attractions that you are going to visit will be additionally chargedShow more
